Anyone know anything about it? What kind of parts its made from? I’m desperate for a top quality Wii arcade stick at this point because the Hori PS2 one are impossible to find and I don’t care for the one available now.

This one?
I hear it’s very good.
But why a SFC stick? You’d need converters.
Get the Madcatz Tatsunoko VS Capcom (TvC) stick – it uses Omron switches.
Are you asking about Hori’s SNES/SFC Fight stick for the SNES/SFC?
The Hori SNES fight stick for the SNES is almost identical to the Hori Neo-Geo Stick in terms of construction. Good stuff, but it only works on the SNES and not the Wii, unless you mod it or have some SNES to Gamecube/Wii Adapter.
Otherwise you can always add Toodles PiiWee Kit to an existing stick and make it compatible on the Wii
Yep that’s it.
I actually just got a converter not too long ago. A Retroport one and I have been using my old SNES controller for it. Is the TVC easy to mod with Seimitsu buttons?
Yes, just drop in the parts.
In fact, try out the TvC with stock parts first.
But if you can find the Hori SFC stick for cheap, get that – they’re rare enough.
I know this thread is kinda old, but I’m here to say, the Hori Super Famicom HSJ-12 stick totally shits on almost every stick pre-HRAP and totally deserves a current thread.
My soon to be project…

Pros:
*Stick comes stock with Omron switches (looks like a Semitsu of sorts and parts are compatible with the LS-33).
*Seimitsu LS-33 is a direct drop in (along with LS-32 and it’s variations w/ flat mounting plate).
*LS 58 and the standard Sanwa JLF also fit (but their shafts may stick out too much through the top for your liking).
*Standard Japanese 30mm arcade buttons fit with no hole enlargement.
*All steel case construction (feel free to powder-coat or paint as you like).
Cons:
*Harder to find than many other sticks.
*[S]Buttons[/S] PCB soldered to buttons (not a problem for a decent modder)
Definitely a better stick than the PS1 gray Namco stick.
Nice find. A little tlc and it will be awesome. As awesome as a namco with an LS-33 with a 55 spring ? Up to debate.
Flat-tastic buttons. Not as stylish as Namco though. It’s fun that the SNES has legit stick options. This, C&L, MAS, Battlestation II.
Get some of this stuff and soak it works great with zero odor and non-corrosive so you can use in your house
Those must be some weirdly shaped buttons for them to be able to solder them directly to the other buttons.
:razzy:
^Oops
Not a concern. The sandblaster will take care of all that jazz.
I got/found one today. Have not tried it yet. pretty stick, great mass to it.
Looks like a better investment than the Capcom Power Fighter Stick, alright.
30mm vs 24mm buttons.
Any stick vs JLW/certain Seimitsu only.
Solid metal vs light (creaky) plastic case.
Should’ve looked for one, doubt I’d find many in Ireland/Europe though.
I
I found this one quite by luck. I first thought it a PSX Hori, then realized it was not by appearance. In the past 6 months I’ve found or acquired 4sticks: 3 used (The snes Hori, two interact sticks: black and chrome) and a Namco 6 button PSX (Japan), and one new (Evo 2012 MCatz).
Thrift shops and garage sales are great fun to come upon sticks, but they are less and less now due to an increased awareness for them, or by age where folks have just thrown them out (trash) as they are “old”…
.
I meant 5 sticks… I cannot count
BUmP
Finally got some work done to my stick…
Stripped it and took it and some other gaming gear to the local powder coat shop.

I also dropped off …
2 Dreamcast green goblin bottom panels (one not pictured) and 1 Vewlix panel surround…

Damn near a month later, I get the call to pickup my items. When I get there only 2 of 5 parts have been coated properly :o
These are the only parts they got correct, so i took them.

Before re-assembly of the SFC stick, i sanded and sprayed the stick mounting carriage bolts with VHT Epoxy Paint

This is as far as I can get until I get my bottom panel from the powder coater…
Seimitsu PS series button and LS-32 stick on tap…

Thanks. I want one of these now. My girlfriend will be thrilled.
Never heard of this stick, it looks cooler than the PSX Namco. These are the kind of things I always wish I’d run into at the thrift store/ swap meat.
