Ignore the one I posted above for the Beijing. It was apparently just a region qualifier. The final results for China came in:
Slot #1: Team Da Kou Xiao Hai: 大口 (Da Kou) - Fei Long, 小孩 (Xiao Hai) - Yun
Qualified out of Shanghai Region
Slot #2: Team Junice: 阿包 (A Bao) - Yang , 神华 (Shen Hua) - Honda
Qualified out of Guangxi Region
The interesting thing is that all 4 players are based in Guangzhou… Also in Shanghai, in their region, that team defeated Desora and his friend in China at the time in the final to get the qualifier spot.
idiotic statement if I ever heard one. Daigo got eliminated several times in few tourneys for 3rd Strike, CVS2, SF2 HF, etc Yet you think losing twice is funny? How many majors have you gone to? how many have you won? When you got the game to talk shit about the best SF player in the world for as many yrs as him then we can take you seriously scrub.
You sound so salty, he’s been at this since 1998 bro. You don’t think he deserves “superstar” status for all the work he’s put in?
Yeah, regrettably Li Jun and Jie Wa lost. I was hoping for a North China team to make it this year. It’s not that surprising though, South China is generally regarded as having the best players. Xiao Hai is usually thought of as the best in China.
even without Daigo, alot of big names are no where to be found. they didn’t even want try to qualify. Like Mago, Iyo, Momochi, Tokido, RF, Sako. Last time that i heard Sako is going to try to qualify for SBO. Tokido might not try to qualify too because you don’t really win anything, he said he didn’t even has a partner.
He might just try to qualify on the day before SBO. ~_~
Also, i though Daigo’s team got 2nd place last year. if that’s bad, then I’m not sure what to say.
Mago, momochi, tokido & co. tried the western double elimination, best out of 3 format and probably don’t wanna go back to the RANDOM single elim. single game format.
Honestly, anyone can beat anyone in a single game unless the disparity of skill level is really HUGE between the players
Momochi actually has been trying to qualify with Bonchan, but he kept losing in the qualifiers. He is in this coming week’s regional final tho so maybe he’ll get in, but Eita’s team is also in so it’s not a definite…
Also, block A-1 result:
Team: Dai-Gurren Dan
Odin SIN (Cammy), MARU-Q (Ibuki)
