I’ll say this again in case it was missed - they didn’t even show all the matches at SBO. Yes, for the people who actually traveled out there, bought tickets, and were physically present at the event, we did not see all the matches.
For the opening rounds, they had 4 matches going on at once, and only showed 1-2 of them at a time. Teams played and got eliminated and we just didn’t get to see it. They showed Daigo and Nuki early on and didn’t show them again until the match they lost. And it was a while before we got to see Mago and Nemo.
What’s on the DVD isn’t that different from what we actually saw.
Good point…but then again, all they have to do for a match to be recorded is point a camera at an arcade machine. It’s even easier than hooking each one up to a big screen and showing you guys a bunch at once and stuff. That shit should be on the DVD.
Just going to wait for the youtubes/nicovideos, honestly. Let me put it this way: I can buy a magazine I can’t read with DVDs that won’t even work on my equipment, or I can just chill at home and watch them a week after they come out. 
DVDs cost about 4000yen each last for one game. This year 1150 yen for two games plus the normal magazine. I can’t say I’m shocked that they’re only including a selection of matches.
And I can’t say I really watched that many of the round 1 and 2 matches for the DVDs I bought. A best bout selection style is more to my liking anyway. Bought.
Yes, what noodalls said. You guys are bitching about the DVD when they cost a shit lot more LAST year for LESS matches. Now you guys get even more matches for $30 less? Nice.
but last year sbo had their own dvds how come this year is different?

I guess Ill just wait for play-asia to make it available but given my experience with those bastards the mag will go out of stock before my order will even ship (this happened when I wanted to buy the magazine with the daigo matches)

Because Enterbrain/Arcadia is losing money FAST and they can’t really afford to publish DVDs, that’s basically the reason. It’s their own fault because they haven’t adapted to the internet trend at all, but yeah, thats the reason.
Anyone know a spot in NYC that sells these types of magazines? I would like to grab this at a store around that area.
Might be a long-shot, but check your local Barnes and Noble. The one near me stocks lots of imported magazines; I have seen some pretty weird things in that store and wondered how and why they’re there.
Another long-shot: ask them if they can import the mag. I did this when Tower Records was around, a long time ago; the mag cost an arm and a leg when I finally got it, but it was worth it.
If I gotta do all that…
this year, they only have few matches. not all the matches like previous years.
