Super A+ Grade: Strider Combo Thread

Yeah, if i do not have Satellite activated im like, “oh wow. what the hell do i do now?”

So I just started playing my Strider on my Jill team on point.

The Arrow kick incomming mixup into wall cling is perhaps one of the dirtiest things in the game. FFS, I have no clue which way either character is going to go, and neither does my opponent. Arrow Kick extends combos too!

NSR always coming up with some disrespectful tech.

Always gotta have my Opponents saying “wtf?” every match haha.

Forgot to Add, here’s another Strider/ Jill tip.

If you Teleport M at the right time as you use Jill’s Arrow kick, it’s a literal 50/50 that impedes the wall bounce. Since it’s impeding the wall bounce and a 50/50, you can choose to go high or low on block.

also nsr you forgot to mention if you do get a random confirm with strider, and you have a wallbounce assist you can save your wallbounce

(starter),5H, 4H+A1 xx QCF+S, wall cling L>M>H, delayed gram, qcb+s, late gram xx qcb+s xx vajra xx ender

A1= Wallbounce assist

On hit this resets/saves your wallbounce and on block this is the most ambiguos crossup ive ever seen i can only block my own recordings with it lol

ill post a vid with this combo i got around 670-700k for 1 bar, i think i can connect a level 3 but im not sure how tight the timing is.

Are the combos in the OP still good? If not what’s his best solo bnb?

There’s lots of combos…I think the main thing people need to think about is that you can’t rely on a two assists combo if your running point. I think solo combos are the best option and have two assists that help make you safer and or more ambiguous crossups/fuzzy. Drones and missiles are the only practical combo extenders imo as you can tag them to the end. I’m sure my solo combo still does the most unless someone has something better. Id really love to know.

When i have strider on point i usually have vergil/zero(powered up B assist). My Bnb nets me around 496k meterless i don’t use vergil for the combo so that i can call him and teleport for an obnoxious mix up. Builds 2 if i’m successful i’ve built 2 bars killed one character(usually) leaving me with bars to go into orbs…but usually if he’s on point i just look for ragnarok.

Are the essential BnB’s still the same as the ones in the Brady guide or has it changed?

Also how do you get the super at the end of comob I in the op to connect? the dummy always recovers before the super can hit.

There’s better combos but they have semi high execution barriers. People claim ground height H gram, orb summon, l gram, release orb, vajra is hard but I do it all the time.

You can TAC in Strider, immediately double jump forward, then fall with H > qcf L > Ragnarok. You need to fall a bit after the TAC to make sure you’re low enough for the Ragnarok to hit!

Hey, sorry if this was already posted, but I found a way to replace legion with ragnarok in combo 1 from the OP. I didn’t check meter use, so I’m pretty sure its 138% meter (adding the difference to combo 1’s use). The change makes it do 801,300 damage without x-factor or assists. But I’m a noob and my execution with it sucks, lol. Anyway, here goes:

(formation B summon) :m:, :h:, d.:h:, f.:h:, :s:, sjc. j.:m: , j.:m: , j.:h:, :qcf:+:l:, f.jump, j.:m:, j.:h:, :qcf:+ :l:, :s:, sjc. j.:m:, j.:m:, (double jump) j.:h:, j. :s:, :qcb:+:s:, :dp:+:atk:+:atk:

So it’s pretty much the first BnB from the OP, but you have formation B summoned, and use that for the OTG then ragnarok. you have to do ragnarok real damn fast for it to connect.

if you have an orb summoned ending with Ragnarok you can definitely get more damage than that. i’d say just practice man. strider is all about getting your rhythm down.

Hey Clock I saw you do a Strider Tac during your FT50 with Shady K. What were the notations?

I went through the thread, sifting through all the messages, I couldn’t find the answer to this noobish question.

In xf3 orbs, I can successfully open someone up. What combo should I be trying to do? Because whatever I do the orbs run out before I kill anyone. Also on the same note, does anyone have any non xfactor orbs combos? What do you guys typically go for?

I go for the Excalibur loop or Just repeatedly plink dash.

Sometimes it’s better to open them up multiple times to get the unscaled damage though.

Not sure which you’re talking about, but I normally do mm doublejump mm xx excalibur H, fall H then you can do Gram L, TAC, S, and prob other stuff. It’s not very good!

Yeah I think that was the one. Thanks. By the way, I was wondering what position do you think is best for Strider? I’ve only seen Chou play him well in the first slot.
