Messiah Complex was the last one that just ended. You are probably better off waiting for the TPB since ran through every X-Men comic for the last few months. Like for example, part 1 would be in Uncanny, part 2 would be in X-Men, part 3 would be in New X-Men, part 4 would be in X-Factor and so on.

I was really hoping for a unanimous decision on one but thats asking alot. I’m at Marvel’s site looking for Iron-Man Director of SHIELD and can find any subs for it. I also can’t find the Civil War TPB.

I was in the same situation about 2 years ago and I ended up getting some things I wish I didn’t spend money on (hello 1602)
One last suggestion (don’t want to overload you) would be maybe the House of M book. It’ll explain why there are so few mutants, and this is the reason for the Messiah Complex
yeah to piggyback on that just get the main House of M book. The other House of M tie-ins aren’t necessary.
Yeah, I came accross House of M while looking for the ones I bought. The description sounded interesting but since noone suggested I opted to hold off on it. Didn’t want to make any dumb purchases.
Now that it has gotten some form of credibility I’ll be looking at that and Messiah Complex (and possibly Immortal Iron Fist) in the near future.

Just finished the Civil War 1-7.
Very good read. Took my time reading it and I can’t wait to get the next book.
Question is the Civil War series already complete? Or is it still in the works. How many books are there… and where can I get them all for a good price?
There were only 7 issues to Civil War, so you’re pretty much done with that. Planet Hulk ran at the same time, so you should really start that next. After that…

You can read New Avengers and Mighty Avengers on and off, but since they deal with more…current…events, all you really need to know is who’s on the teams at this point.
Oh ok. I thought it was leading into Iron-Man’s job as director of S.H.I.E.L.D. (can’t believe I just typed that out). I figured that was the next “chapter”.

Are you only interested in Marvel stuff? Thhere’s a loy of non marvel/dc stuff, most if it better then marvel/DC imo.

I’ve went by this name well I guess it started here at SRK now that I think about it. Back in 2000-01 I had bought NBA Showtime for Dreamcast. I created a custom character and the game had a name select option for your characters that the game would say aloud during gameplay. I listened to all the names and stuck on The Chief! Had a ring to it when ever you dunked. So I named my character The Chief to go along with the name.
Everyone thinks it came from Halo, but I’ve used this tag way before Xbox was even released. I’ve used this name for everything else that asks for a username. That’s the pointless story.
Anyway, my focus is on Marvel stuff cause I’m trying to get caught up on what’s going on. Not really looking for the best reading material out there. I’m sure theres all sorts of better material (by opinion or whatever). I’ve always been a Marvel fan anyway, and I think it’d be easy to catch up if I could get my hands on the good current material.
I’m not kidding about the name. People been calling me Chiefg for years, as it’s an abbreviation of my real name.
on topic: I’d recommend reading up on Thunderbolts. Warren Elliss run (soon to end) is really good, and ties in to Civil War and |The Initiative stuff.
