I’m enjoying Black Adam at the moment.
Yeah, Mouse Guard is good. I got the hardcover of the first book. They say a paperback version won’t be available until Spring 2008. The second book is just recently beginning to be serialized.
I read all those Brian Jacques Redwall books when I was a kid, too. Jacques - is that dude Canadian or French or something?
Mouse Guard has its obvious similarities but I thought the story was really brief. It didn’t do as an amazing job of world-building that those Redwall novels did, and Mouse Guard is more of a straight forward adventure without too much character development/interaction. But it’s crafted well enough that it inspires confidence that the future stories will continue to improve and build upon this.

anyway, I haven’t decided just what I’m gonna read yet (I’ve been kinda on a Conan kick lately), and I still have PLENTY of time to decide, so it’s no rush.
