BoF and DS use to be two of my favorite games back in the day! Hinamori and Nemu all day! Custom Robo was also pretty fun.
I’m a big fan of the Etrian Odyssey series. They are old-school RPGs with a really cool mechanic where you map out the dungeon yourself on the touchscreen. They are also reasonably challenging.
Other recommendations: Fire Emblem, Chrono Trigger (incredible remake of an incredible game), Final Fantasy IV, all of the Castlevania games.
Since this is a fighting game forum I was about to recommend the Bleach DS games by Treaure (The Blade of Fate, Dark Souls) since it features multi-plane fighting and easy inputs. But since this is a general thread, let me show you my top picks:
