SETUPS
Due to not being able to secure enough setups for various games, I will be waiving the venue fees for those who bring setups that we use. For instance, if you have a setup for SFIV and we already have reached our max amount of setups, your venue fee will not be waived. However, as I would like to have as many setups as possible for every game, this may not be such a problem. Still, come early to guarantee your setup.

There will be other, more casual games (DDR, Mario Kart, etc) available for play. And I would like to get some other stations (KOF, BB, etc) going as well…

BUT, that all depends on how many setups we get, so if you want to see more games at SuDaKaRe, it’s up to you to help out with setups.

Remember, if you bring a setup, the venue fee is WAIVED.

More setups = smoother & faster tournaments as well as extra games and you save a little. It’s a win/win.

GENERAL RULES

DUAL CONSOLES?

Last year, SuDaKaRe ran its Street fighter IV Tournament on **BOTH **Xbox 360 and PS3 and was very successful. This worked due to participants being willing to share sticks and controllers with one another. We would like to do that again this year with not only SFIV, but T6 and MvC2 as well as it would open up the competition to even more players. HOWEVER, we can’t do so unless we have participants who are willing to lend equipment.

Keep in mind that if we do go this route, please test all equipment before the tournament and in between each match. As a reminder, TCNJ or any of the Sudakare staff is not responsible for any damaged or lost property so always keep an eye on anything you may bring regardless. There hasn’t been any issues in the past, and we’d like to keep it that way.
**
Leave your thoughts in the thread.**

If you are playing in multiple games you need to notify an organizer when you are about to play in another game, so they can skip your match on the brackets and come back to you after you completed the other tournament match.

Also once the tournament starts you are responsible for knowing when your next match will come up. If you have to go for a food or bathroom break, then notify the judge at your station. The judge should be able to tell you when your next game will be and how long you have before your next match up. I take pride in starting my tournaments ON TIME. Be ready to play ath the above mentioned start times. If a judge calls your match three times and you don’t show, you will be DQ’d.

No horseplay or anything like that. Keep in line or you will have to deal with campus security

No modded controllers, turbo buttons or any of that nonsense. Cheating of any kind will be an automatic DQ.

NO MONEY MATCHES!!! We cannot have any money matches going on at Sudakare. If anyone is caught doing them, we will be shut down!

PARKING:

Parking is available in lots 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the TCNJ Campus. However, overnight parking requires a visitor pass which can be obtained via campus Police in the Administrative Services Building. They can be reached at (609) 771-2167. If you are planning to stay overnight (or even late) it is advised to plan early and get a pass as without one, you are subject to a ticketing violation.

PRIZES
As TCNJ is a college campus, we can’t give out cash prizes and we can’t have any money matches on the side. So the prizes for each tournament are:

1st Place: $25 Amazon gift card (Buy your own damn prize )
2nd Place: $15 Gamestop gift card
3rd Place: Super Secret Joke prize relating to the game being played

We’ll be taking Pre-Registrations online. However, we will also accept registrations on site. If you are pre-registering or if you plan to come and with a setup, please PM me and we will discuss the details.

Updates

Date changed to the 17th due to Easter.

Also, thinking about placing in BB. I’ll see how we are on time.

nice…

I’m at Rider University and I had no idea there were people who played around here…Does anyone have SFIV sessions around Ewing?

I can also bring a PS3 with Tekken 6 and SFIV installed with all characters and Marvel on it too. I have a TE stick for PS3 and a dual modded stick available.

As for controller mapping, customization should be allowed for SFIV except autofire/turbo. I don’t need those macros but I could see pad players having a problem with that.

Controller mapping is perfectly ok for SFIV. It’s just not specified because last year, everyone who played brought a stick haha. If anyone shows up with a pad, I’ll let them know.

Okay, that sounds a lot better.

So there are people that play fighting games around here? It would be cool if I could meet some of you beforehand and maybe have a session?

Wow if I were still going to school at “The College formerly known as TCNJ” this would be right in my backyard…

As it is I’ll still try to make it for some T6 and SF4.

The campus is still a “Brawl” campus, but last year I took over the Sudakare tournament and put games life SFIV and Soul Calibur in. Sureley but slowly, people are starting to leave the safety of brawl and actually try other games. There’s def a community, but it’s very very small.

Lightspeed, please check your PMs

Just make the tournaments free entry if there are no money prizes.

Agreed.

ill check this out. marvel heads better show up. i wanna play that real OG crack! sf4 is boring.

Is there any chance you can start Tekken later? I will be busy on Saturday afternoon and won’t get there until 6ish… And I would really like to enter both T6 and SF4. I know this sounds mighty selfish, but figured I might as well ask…

Yo guys,

Check out the OP for updated rules and new. The venue fee has been dropped from the event.

HOWEVER, we are still accepting setups! We are primarily looking for these items:

PS3’s
Tekken 6 and MvC2, SfIV for PS3 (and Xbox, but we may be covered for that already.

My goal tomorrow is to have a multi-console tourney. However this will not be possible unless some of you guys can help out. If you have any of these items, PM me so we can work something out (I might be able to drop an entrance fee for those who lend). Thanks for any help and I hope to see some of you guys tomorrow!

Unfortunately, we’re on a tight schedule as the room we’re in is booked for a limited time. I don’t think I’ll be able to start Tekken later. Though I do hope you can make it for SFIV. Sorry man.

I have a PS3 with Tekken installed, MVC2 full game, and SFIV all characters and installed

Dynicksty, check your PM’s

is there a train station in the area?

If you can get a train to Trenton Transit Center, you can take the 601 bus right to the student center.
