giant machine gun wielding robot died like a scrub
dragon had good screen time and a cool death.
that was all overshadowed by the "meh"ness of what tied those events together. I actually got kinda bored during the movie lol.
I thought the dragon died like a bitch. It deserved a better death then what it got.
The only big robot I recall was the gundam type robot that Blonde was in in the get the map action sequence. This part was pretty good not the robot itself, it was a pussy, but the action sequence itself of the girls fighting was pretty cool. It was early on so I wasn’t bored of the movie yet.

Movie could have used about 3 more fight scenes. It would have filled in the mess that they call the 2nd half of the movie.
Maybe some epic fight with the old dude that was helping them or maybe Blue/High roller could have been in one of those fantasy world scenes where he received some epic death rather then getting fucking arrested. all the visuals didn’t save the movie from a plot and characters this bad…:tdown:

I give it 3 of 5… very “meh” compared to 300 or Watchmen.
So I hear this movie is pretty shit? What I don’t get is why they are dressing a woman in a school-girl outfit, calling her Babydoll, and dropping her in a brothel . . .

Okay, okay. What do we do? What the fuck do we do?!?! Okay, wait. Right. First, hide your daughters. Second, close every school in the world. Third, shut down all international airports and seaports. Fourth, alert the UN so they can invade someone. And last, don’t panic. We need to help each other in this crisis, people. You panic, you get raped. Good luck!
I didn’t hate the movie, nor did I love it, but it definitely disappointed me. Although it looked and sounded great, the movie’s plot and characters were pretty weak and obviously there just to string the visual and action sequences together.
This movie had so much potential but was obviously nothing more than nerd/geek fanboy service. Seriously, giant samurais, mechs, Nazi “zombies”, orcs and dragons, and robots, how did it go wrong?
I will say though that Babydoll looked smoking and reminded me of how much I’m a sucker for chicks rockin’ pigtails. lol
I thought the movie looked and sounded cool - Like an anime or video game.
It had a lot of heart - But lacked on a good story.
The second half was a bit of let down - Zach Snyder needs to go back to adapting other people’s work
3/5 for me.
This is one of the best movies this year.
After the giant samurai sequence, I was THIS CLOSE to standing up and clapping, serious.
Sucker Punch was crazy awesome.
Don’t try to hate on it for being some sort of thoughtful action movie, it’s not meant to be that.
It’s meant to be over the top and crazy, just like how dreams are.

That last speech to Sweetpea = lol almost the same as Buffy’s speech to Dawn at the end of Buffy Season 5
The main girl is just so damn cute. I don’t know how i feel… definitely a horrible plot but the ending was nice. Kinda got bored of the visuals mid way through… just like that video review, my brain kicked in and asked, “why is this happening again?”
… and then the blond girl showed up and I was happy again.
What’s come out recently-- Surrogates, Shutter Island, Inception, Black Swan, Source Code, Sucker Punch and a few others. They all share a theme of not trusting what you see or even think. They have their differences,but they’ve been coming out one after another and even a dimwit will start to detect a pattern.
I’m quoting a dead man, but this post gets it. Still it was pretty boring. Its failure to balance entertainment with its admittedly clever narrative ruined the the experience.
I liked the movie, it was worth the time to watch it and that’s all I ever ask of movies.
Didn’t care much for the movie. Thought it was just 3 or 4 really long music videos that was way too random for its own good. One watch of it was all I needed. Would most likely not watch again.
