Stupid, Noob Question

I want to make my Thor better. What are some drills I can work on in the training room that can improve my skill with him?

I particularly am having a hard time with movement and breaking full screen attacks. That Ghost Rider spamming simple attacks can keep me in the corner tells me I suck; I need advice on what to practice in order to get better.

I’m sure the other guys on this Thor thread can help you better than I can but I have some ideas to practice on. Some things thing you should learn about Thor (Tri-dashing, Air Tri-Dashing (idk if thats its real name is but ill explain it), & tk mighty strikes)

Tri-dashing (Super jump Up or Up-Foward, air dash down-forward (almost immediately after SJing), any attack (preferably light or special but, medium is okay too) ): Very viable attack for Thor, Lights probably of his best comes out quick & can cross up your opponent (if spaced correctly)

Air Tri-dashing (SJ, fly, Dash up-forward to down-forward (alternating): A good way to cross the screen w/ thor (you can get hit out of the air b/c of being in fly mode but if your in trouble you can either unfly, mighty strike, or even mighty spark a couple of times (you can do up to 3 special moves in the air I.E.: mighty strike, mighty spark mighty spark then you fall))

TK (tiger-knee) Mighty strikes (back, down, down-back, up-back, Light mighty strike (can fully charge)): Very good attack against projectile characters (If timed correctly) and if you hit w/ fully charged MS you can launcher (S) and get more damage.

Anyone else feel free to help him out too (we’re all Asgardians here), we need to help out our fellow Thor players.

If anything else peteywarren…watch tournament footage to get an idea on how ppl play him (I have some of my match footage in the video thread along w/ other ppl, but I say look @ theirs (mines not very good lol))

Oh and w/ ghost rider be patient with him, when I run into him I still have trouble just b/c that match-up is new to me still (never really fight him) I hope this info will suit you well. FOR ASGARD!

Thanks for the info. I start working on dashing like described and see where I can go from there.
