Why, exactly, is Cinco de Mayo celebrated in any capacity in America?
Mostly for white people. Mexican don’t really care that much about Cinco de Mayo. The one to celebrate is 16 de Septiembre (September 16) which is their independence day. Although I don’t know how well celebrating another country’s independence day would go in the U.S.
Also, how ironic is it that they get kicked out for the Tapout shirts which is a company founded by mexican americans; as well as continually featuring both flags in some of the shirts? Mind you, they are douchy as shit, but that is hilarious.
