Student in looking for a teacher

Classic Fighting Games SSF2T: HD Remix

I’m relatively new to SF2, and new to SSF2T:HDR. I have played a little bit of SF3:3rd Strike, but very little. I’m looking for someone to train me, and teach me all the basics + advanced stuff.

I’m good at fighters, but just started really getting into them. I’m a high level player in UMK3, but as all of you know, the player base in UMK3 is slim. And UMK3 is nothing like SF at all, so I’m a complete newb.

If anyone is willing to teach me, not just play me, but actually teach me ST and generally SF, I will be in your debt.

Watch those multiple times and learn to love practice mode until you can find someone. Being precise with inputs will be a huge plus when you start more advanced techniques.

Thanks for the link man, that helped alot. I’ve read all of Sirlins stuff on playing to win, no suprise that he would make a great tutorial.

You need the following.

Someone worse than you.
Someone as good as you.
Someone better than you.

Spam games against all three and you’ll get better.

Rely, I’ve been playing different SF titles and VS titles casually for years but would like to play a bit more serious now.

I’m probably around the same skill level as you, so if you ever want to get down on some matches, discuss strategies, or stalk better players to help us out, shoot me a PM.

The best thing I would suggest if having someone better than you spam crossups and attack patterns. Getting hit by the same pattern over and over definitely makes you learn faster.
