Stuck in the "Can't Find a Main" phase (I do have possibilities)

Long story short. I have 4 characters Decapre, Seth, Oni, and Akuma. I mainly want to know which one fits my play style.

*I’m a BIG rush down player
*I’m heavy on the offensive side
*(Not very important) Somewhat easy to learn

Mods don’t want this in the newbie dojo either. It ultimately falls down to you to pick a character, not us.

Anyway, Oni is the only character that doesn’t really have what you’re looking for.

There’s actually a name for that?lol damn. I guess pick your favorite, but if you have a similar problem where you have more than one favorite…you’re gonna have to either just keep using multiple characters or just use the one you think you like using the most out of everybody else. Can’t decide for you that’s your choice.

By the time you get a useful reply to this thread (if ever) you could’ve spent a few hours with each character and figured this issue out for yourself. Seriously, all of those characters you listed fit your criteria. Just play.

Guy, Makoto, Cammy, Evil Ryu, Yun, Yang.

But seriously, until you willingly commit to learning everything about a character and purposefully sticking with them, you will have a character crisis.

Just do what is fun for you.

Of those four, I’d say Akuma.

of the four of them I’d say either akuma or seth, but from the whole cast I’d also recommend give Ken, Abel,Cammy and Yun a try

You could post in general thread, but he will just tell you the same thing there.

I’d say Decapre. Also consider Yun and Cammy. Oni doesn’t fit that style. Guy does too but requires so much yolo to work.

you should play Abel. as for the characters you already use, definitely Seth.

I think of the 4 Akuma fits the criteria the most… just need some decent footsies and he has plenty of good mixup tools once you get a knockdown… make sure you learn all of his demon flip mixups. Execution is pretty easy for most of Akuma’s combos IMO.

Seth only looks godlike because of Poongko, I don’t think his damage output is nearly as good as Akuma’s nor are his options in neutral. Even if you play rushdown you need good neutral game or you’ll never get in to do your mixups and c00l camb0z.

(plus that far st.hp buff on akuma is so niceeeeeee)

Play Hakan. He’s the best rushdown character in the game. He has Cammy’s canon drill, Guile’s air grab, Zangief’s SPD, and Hondas normals. He can also move while focus attacking.

Of course, all of this is in slow motion, and with you needing to stop attacking every once in a while to sit there and oil up, but where would be the fun in playing a character that’s good?
