Strider combos

Hello everyone.well, i’m new here and i would like to become good in mvc2.I’ve been playing mvsc1 for 3 years now, but after so many years of the same game i think i need a change.

unfortunately my two favorite characters are really toned down(wolvie and strider),and the combos i use to do with them in 1, i can’t do in 2.Strider no longer has that unblockable air reset or has the ability to combo into all three of his supers in a corner and still otg your ass.

Anyways, i wanted to know… what are some good combos for strider in 2?Otg.Corner. Resets. any,and all combos… plz post here. :sweat:

Strider is not really a combofiend, but my FAVORITE combo with Strider would have to be, lp, lp, launch, teleport, call doom, airthrow, bird reorb. I like to try for it after a successful ouroboros land, problem is going from launch to teleport. You have to be pretty precise and fast. But even if you miss the throw, doom will keep you safe.

But really just the launch teleport throw just looks so badass for Strider, I dunno why.

lol clockwork combo and it only works when you have strider on the far side of the screen. but yea I like the launch teleport throw. it does look cool and it has a pretty fast tech time. Believe it or not strider has some dangerous combos. Like 60% resets and shit which is pretty good for someone who cant air dash.

clockwork also has an otg corner combo where he gets magic side. Now thats a combo. I think I saw it on the evo 2k3 trailer.

strider has to be on the far side of the screen. About the same distance for the teleport throw combo. c.lk, c.lk, c.rh call doom, dog activate, high teleport to the other side, fp while in air, all of this combos, youll land and from here you can do 2 things::1)jump up and keep jump jabbing which will probably do 50% life. 2)dash under and if the dash under combos, keep hitting fp directly under them. Youll constantly crossthem up back and forth. combo can be rolled but it looks cool.

the reason it works is because striders fp makes him stepforward then stepback. When your directly underneath them, that step in fp animation is enough to xup the character. You have to hold back then fwd and do that everytime strider htis fp to block it. There tons of ways to x them up once you get this fp thing.

but yea strider has alot of weird combos that will always xup. The one I mentioned being one of them. He has more shit but I like to keep those to myself. Strider isnt 100% figured out yet. His trap and gameplay can be mastered but as far as strider goes for a character, I dont think hes reached his max potential yet. I know some broken shit.

side note:

I’ve thrown people during orbs anyone know whats up with that?

I know i saw some combo where strider orbs 2 or 3 times in a row then Ragnarok to do some sick damage. Anybody know how’s that’s done?

Pretty sure that’s glitched, oh man that just looks soooooooooo deadly. Yeah pretty sure it couldn’t happen in a normal match.
