I am tentatively excited. On the one hand WOOO new Strider! On the otherā¦Double Helixā¦but then the Trailer looked pretty good.

Iām pretty excited for this although one of my biggest gripes with Strider is that thereās noā¦ hmm how do I say thisā¦ tit for tat swordplay. Everything has been SLASH THROUGH ALL THE THINGS in Strider games. Itās fun but itās kinda shallow. I see in the vid he has some new moves which could be cool but if all I have to do is not get hit and then slash enemies in half it might get boring.
I mean I just want some grunts that can block or parry my sword slashes to keep me on my toesy.

Maybe if this game does good similar to Bionic Commando: Rearmed that weāll get a retail release of a ābiggerā Strider game? They could go balls-out and make it into a 3D character action game. I know Strider has always been 2D, but look at how Shinobi and Ninja Gaiden turned out.

Yea I always thought Capcom could really challenge stuff like Ninja Gaiden with a full 3D Strider Action game. Thereās sooo much they could do.
This current Capcom has the talent to make great games (Dragonās Dogma), but they donāt have the proper direction. Iām not confident they could pull off a full 3D Strider at this point in the game. Iām going to need to see some major company overhauls before they attempt something like that
This 2D version is an easy, safe way to gain back fan support. Then people MAY start trusting them again (doubt it tho)

Turns out it looks like a $15 indie game. Strider franchise is straight asking to be made into a 3D action game. Capcom fucking up again.
Just as many people would be shitting on Capcom for not making it like the older Striders.
The running animation looks off. He doesnāt even run too slow but it just looks so anemic. The damage those enemies do will hopefully be changed before the game comes out. Dude was just straight running into the bullets and nothing happened. It looks like it has potential though. Reminds me a lot of the old Ninja Gaidens and not just Strider. I hope that thereās a setting that changes the game into a kind of a bullet hell version of Ninja Gaiden so that youād actually need that parry against the enemies. Thatād be godlike.
Well if thereās one thing Strider should be used to by now, itās Bullet Hell.
