For a moment, I thought you were playing the finished game. I can’t wait for the game to be finished. So much work is being done on this game. I’m gonna do my part and spread the word once SoRR is completed. Can’t wait to play this on my new gamepad. :lovin:
Heh. I thought this was the final build until I read this thread again. Can’t believe the build we’re all on is two years old. Just based off of this build, I’m excited to see what they’re going to pull for the final version.
Who knows, if this game hits like wildfire, Sega may just pull a Steam move in getting SoR4 made. Or wait, would that be a Capcom move? Whatever. High hopes but it’s possible. Demand means a lot.
Game is awesome, but I have to say, at least in this version, Adam feels like a stripped dowm version of Axel. Can’t wait for the next update.
I would say that this woud be awesome if it happened:
“Theres a high chance of getting it ported to Wii and XBox, but unless the ports are already done they will not be there for the game launch and/or they might not be official or adapted independently like the Wiz one.”
Thanks for keeping this thread going.
Repped everyone for following the thread and showing that there’s at least some level of interest here.
How is a Wii and Xbox port possible when they have to go through not only Nintendo/MS, but Sega as well?
Man, I cannot wait for it. Been so long since I’ve played the earlier versions just waiting for this one. Also, the remixes from this update are nice. Hope we can choose between the songs from the last full version, Gecko and his crew had some bomb ass music.
I do have to say that as of this moment I’m sad Under Logic is not in it.
Awesome. Just awesome news.
Easy: they don’t. If it does end up being released for any consoles, it will be homebrew that will most likely only be able to play via modchip or softmod.
And I check the official site all the time. Being a HUGE fan of SoR2, I’ve been foaming at the mouth for the finished game. It’s truly amazing to think of how long Bombergames has been working on the project, and the sheer scope of the game is awe inspiring. I think that’s one of the things that makes SoRR stand out amongst other homebrew beat-em-ups: its sheer ambition.
Here’s looking forward to playing with you guys online when the final version is out. I got dibs on Max.
Thanks a lot for keeping up with the updates Satomi, been steathily lurking whenever this thread comes up so showing some more support
So when is this supposed to finally come out? I’m looking forward to it, but hope that Sega doesn’t give it the Squeenix Crimson Dawn treatment and squash it two days before it’s scheduled to be released. If I were them I’d stop giving “real” updates, and release the game at an unscheduled time before Sega can give it the last minute axe.
Sega doesn’t care enough to stop them. Besides, they’re doing this for free and it’s no different from all of the Megaman and Super Mario World hacks out there.
No word on when it’ll be finalized. I check the blog once a day and there haven’t been any updates since last month.
Oh man, thanks for this thread. I completely forgot about this and now I’m excited all over again for the finished game.
Yeah, but I’ve never heard of a ROM hack/ remake that wasn’t free. The difference between the Mega Man and Super Mario World ones is that they’re so ubiquitous that it’d be a waste of time to try and go after the makers. It’s the big time “major” projects on games that aren’t commonly hacked that garner the attention. We’ll see though.
Worse comes to worst, they could always rename the project while replacing the sprites with original characters to avoid legal trouble. Go the Bid For Power route.
sega dosent care about this game. if they did, there wouldnt be hundreds of sonic hacks and engines floating around on the net. And this itself isnt even a hack its a fan game. im pretty sure the only thing they took from sega is sprites and sound effects.
Added some Youtube channels.
Good one
