Street Fighter X Tekken Signature Series Guide : Brady Games

I’m just good on it right now one of my friends probably will get it and I’ll check it’s worth then…but not just for characters extra tweaks gems all that

Bit the dust and brought the guide. A good crapper reader…:coffee:I wish you guys have done the 12 DLC Characters but that’s cool, I’m enjoying it so far.

My guide’s in the mail, so it doesn’t affect me too much, but do you think you’ll do an update for the DLC characters when they come out? I’d be happy to buy another guide, even, if it was just as good quality as the others.

Anyone have their guide yet from Amazon?

"Usually ships within 1 to 3 months."

The fuck? Really Amazon? Again?

Let me start off by saying that I loved the Marvel guides. However, sometimes moves that caused soft knockdowns, etcetera weren’t marked as such though and sometimes moves were marked as soft knockdowns but that’s only until hitstun goes up enough. I understand how much work goes into these things though, especially since you have to do EVERY character. The ideas and strategies in the guide helped me personally get better, I’m very sure. Moreover, I think they helped the community’s overall knowledge of the game - we didn’t have to go through such a “nobody knows anything” phase like MK9 or vanilla SF4 did. Even if the specific guide combos didn’t stay current, the ideas (using assists to OTG/combo from OTGs, relaunches, etc.) stayed with the game. So coming into SFxTekken, there’s already a good brand name built up.

The frame data, to me, is the real value to the guide. You can learn so much from looking at the frame data of a character. Links, meaties, damage, and more can be garnered from the frame data. And it’s a real bitch for any single player to put together himself. The character rundowns are definitely useful and you can tell that the writers have love for the game.

However, I’m gonna take a second to bitch. How did you guys miss Ryu’s corner cr.hp xx lk tatsu, cr.hp xx hk joudan, cr.hp xx tatsu? This combo is so beefy and does better damage than the one listed. Also, apparently there is no listed move juggle priority in the frame data. That would have been very useful. There’s discussion of it in the text but for characters that have tons of attacks, in a juggle-intensive game like this I’d think that people who buy the guide are still going to have to play around with the moves a lot to see what juggles where and what doesn’t. Done bitching, I actually do love you guys.

Do you guys mind if I posted the link to the PDF in the Ryu section? Also, is it a problem if we transfer the actual frame data (not the graphs, just numbers, etc.) onto the SRK wiki? “Fuck no” is a totally acceptable answer. What about the characters that aren’t in the PDFs, when we eventually get our guides?

This. I want my guide to learn the game. I don’t want my guide in a couple months :frowning:

Mine still says estimated shipping Tuesday 6th March.

Amazon just sent a notification that it got delayed till like April. The fuck

Bradygames and Amazon don’t get along. This happened with the UMvC3 guide as well. A few people got their guides on team, the rest started shipping two weeks later.

That’s why yesterday, I canceled my Amazon preorder and picked it up at Gamestop.

Did the same and I still got a discount with my “Power Up Card” so it came out for $17 the same that amazon was charging with shipping.

I’ve grown tired of Amazon’s crap. Last time I trust them for guide preorders that aren’t for Halo caliber titles

Canceled my Amazon order. The best deal I could find online was booksamillion.

Newegg also had it when I ordered this morning for about 17 bucks.

i dont’ understand why people are ordering online…

Gamestop=instant gratification.

I picked mine up from Gamestop/EB Games. As great as MvC3’s guide was, no regrets. Not only is it informative but it will also give me something to do on the toilet beside the obvious.

40 minutes away, so the cost of gas + I assume it costs $20 + tax there. I don’t need it that bad immediately. I paid $16.99 shipped.

It’s great, but what about 12 DLC characters? Separate guide, or a free digital append as they’ve done with other games?

I got my copy of the guide today. Much like the MvC3 guide (I passed on the UMvC3 guide), it’s chock full of information. A job well-done once again!

Guys, I really, really want this as a PDF, or even as an app I can put on a smartphone (more the frame data than the guide itself), even a Kindle version would be pretty awesome.

I’m going to buy the hardcopy because I want to support you gents, but can’t we get something electronic?

Got mine today.

Looks great!
