Street Fighter X Tekken Signature Series Guide : Brady Games

Previews look beautiful. Although…12 more chars coming, I smell a 2nd edition there?

Also, anyone knows anything about this one:

I never ordered from Amazon JP, do they ship to the US?

lol…watch the guide have the DLC characters in it…

Do guides typically have street dates like games do? Wondering if I can go pick this up at GameStop or Best Buy.

Does this guide contain information on the 12 DLC characters (Elena, Christie, etc.)?

I know the original MVC3 guide had Jill/Shuma info before they were released. If the SFxT guide does not contain these characters it does not seem worth buying. Since the characters now obviously exist in their completed forums on the disc there doesn’t seem to be an excuse for them not to be included in the guide.

We won’t know till it’s out.

MVC3 guide had Jill and Shuma. This will probably have the 12 DLC characters.

Unfortunately, we were not able to cover the DLC characters.

The guide covers the first 38 non-exclusive, non-DLC characters.

Darth_Vader_Nooooooooo.gif

so its already outdated?

Ouch

Not quite, since those characters don’t come out till Fall…but maybe another guide will come out :stuck_out_tongue:

This is brady games so maybe they will make the 12 characters a pdf file on their main site kinda in the reverse order of WKC1

Well not really, considering the characters aren’t available yet.

At this rate? Nope. Not until fall.

To be honest, people could be productive with their time if they can already hack the DLC characters to use on pirated machines. Figure out the frame data for the rest of us IMO.

This things gonna be useless when sfxt ex is unlocked on our discs I’ll wait

You’ll wait six months for a guide that is $14 on Amazon? o_O

i can only hope that they plan on doing a system overhaul, character tweaks, balance tweaks, new stages, new music AND the 12 characters when fall comes around, because if all they do is just unlock whats on the disc 6 months after the game was released… smh

Really? The 400 pages that they wrote are “useless” because you’re waiting to play (at most) 12 extra characters in 6 months?

Anyways, I’m excited for my copy.

Even with balance changes, AE and 2012 guides weren’t too different either.

Anyway, these things are obviously for people who are looking to play this game past a certain novice level. If you understand the games enough these guides don’t really go obsolete.

I’m sorry we didn’t cover DLC characters, but three things: we didn’t have time; more importantly we weren’t allowed to (of course we asked); and finally we knew things about when you did. Do you think I know their plans for release any more than you do? Nope, I don’t.

We knew we would be missing the dlc characters and we resigned ourselves to making the best guide we could for who we were allowed to cover. Which is still 100% of the tournament cast for at least several months. For the cost of like two magazines. With thorough basics and introductory sections, full frame data, and a dozen or so pages of just new SFxT art.

Seems like a good deal to me. I wonder sometimes if certain posters have actually ever seen our guides?

Based on the responses? Naaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Keep up the good work. Have mercy on our souls if you guys ever head a project for Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
