Street Fighter x Tekken - Possible changes and additions for an eventual patch (Discussion)

Now I see where you are going and I like the sound of it. I like his avalanche flip as it currently is though. It’s perfect for the quick rise mix ups and anti air baits too it seems.
That reminds me that I was kinda missing an EX version of the avalanche flip…

Akuma:
-FP SRK never whiffs 2nd and 3rd hit if 1st connects
-Give him a use-able alpha counter
-Buff Raging Demon damage to 350
-Revert fireball back to pre-patch status

I honestly think I’m being totally reasonable, given that his health is shit-tier and he can die in two combos. Its good to play Akuma offensively but he needs good defensive tools to deal with pressure. And when you look at his bad matchups, he has issues with a majority of the high-damage-high-pressure characters.

He still has the DP tag nerf and his teleport remains the same. And he deserves the damage buff to his super given that its quite difficult to connect compared to other ultras. Shit like his fireball should be nerfed if its too powerful–its not–and not just because Capcom wants to encourage people to play more offensively.

Stupid reason to tweak a character. Gonna post later on Rolento.

What is this suppose to mean?

Hei’s chop move is fast, I’m pretty sure frame data you are looking at is wrong, unless you are looking at the wrong move.

You don’t dictate the direction of this thread. No mean to disrespect but this topic asks for changes, and in a patch balance is certainly a big thing so I put my input in. I’m sorry if you disagree, but I’m only stating my opinion on what would make the game more balanced.

THIS

More weird hitboxes (Cammy-Blanka). TY LordWilliam for the video.

Yeah Cammy’s CS somehow managed to hit me when I was right behind her as well.

The question is, which hit box is wierd. Cannon strike, or the jumping character.

cannon spike.

From what I’ve seen, Cannon Spike’s hitbox is pretty large, but Blanka probably wouldn’t have gotten hit if he didn’t attempt to cross-up so low to the ground

@Shadaloodoll
It means that some proper suggestions including some more info would be more helpful. Or am I the only one who can’t make much of “Fix Hugo” or “Law is too safe”? Add some frame data changes so people can have something to discuss.
I have been playing Heihachi and I know his back lp overhead better than you do. At least that’s what I think when I read your vague descriptions (the name is hammer punch, if you would like to read it up instead of claiming that I’m talking about the wrong one.)
Sure maybe Street11’s and Zukuu’s frame data is wrong.

@Cody&Guy18 thanks, Nina’s lk geyser cannon hit me in a similar way yesterday so I assume it’s the cannon spike. I will add it as soon as I get to the pc.
Nina’s AC from a while ago
skip to 0:10

If you guys insist on collecting balance suggestions, at least make them as specific as possible (like Eternal has been doing) and add proper reasoning for each of the changes.

Abel
-Boost combo from cl.LP to far st.HK can come out unexpectedly instead of cl.HK when timed wrong, causing the combo to fail.
-Forward Kick should do a constant 80 damage instead of the reduced 60 damage on airborne opponents.

Cammy
-Boost combo into cl.HK has too big of an activation range, causing it to whiff in some cases.

Poison
-Boost combo into cl.HP has too big of an activation range, causing it to whiff in some cases.

The sfxt IRC taught me that Sakura’s Otoshi does 20 less damage on airborne opponents. Need to verify this but it’s worth adding it don’t you agree?

No, they already switched his counter, leave the old man alone. Need to worry about stuff that’s far worse, like Nina’s YOLO jumping HP and Law.

I’m not saying ditch the stand crush completely, I’m just saying give it to a different move, like his f.lk. I think it’s unnecessary for an overhead like his to stand crush on top of it already being a relatively fast (and safe) overhead that leads to a full combo. But he could still use a stand crush, and I think f.lk is a good move to give it to.

And I’m saying this as a Heihachi main.

I’d pay good money -damn good money- to see Honda in this game. Why should he be the only SF2 World Warrior that’s not there? Since the game’s release I’ve been hoping they’d one day DLC him. Make my dream come true, Capcom!

I had talked with some friends about that before. I concluded that Honda and Gouken would be awesome to see but really difficult to balance in this game without totally changing the character. They’d end up stupid strong or total bottom of the barrel. Especially if Honda could CADC HHS or Gouken retained and improved upon his damage and juggles. Goukens normals and damage would have to get fucked in this game so his ex palm and boost combos wouldn’t be too good. I could see Honda having HHS tag options similar to Law’s FFR stuff.

IF honda was in, they’d likely make Headbutt his CADC move not hands.

The game represents SF2 extremely well, arguably to the detriment of other SF universe games.

SF2 = 13 characters (Ryu, Ken, Akuma, Gief, Sagat, Sim, Guile, Chun, Cammy, Balrog, Vega, Bison, Blanka.)
Alpha = 4 characters (Cody, Guy, Sakura, Rolento)
3S = 4 characters (Dudley, Hugo, Elena, Ibuki)
SF4 = 3 characters (Rufus, Juri, Abel)
New Character / Final Fight (Poison)

TBH I’d rather they had cut out some of the SF2 cast in favor of another Alpha (Gen, Adon, R Mika, Birdie) or 3S member (Urien, Oro, Q) or even a character that hasn’t ever been seen in a proper playable state. (Damnd, Joe, Retsu, Gunloc, Victor Ortega, Holly Wood, ect.) or maybe even bring over the two characters that are often forgotten as they’ve only been in their original game and CvS2: Maki (Final Fight 2) and Eagle (Street Fighter 1)

buff lei and asuka they suck because i never win.

lollol really tho lei: drunk B+pp should have 2-3 hits of armor or start up faster and if you want to give him more stance cancels thats cool

to be fair you ‘main’ almost a 5th of the cast

Sorta. I play a lot of different characters, but I consider Heihachi one of my “true” mains, since I’ve been using him (along with Ken) since day 1. So he’s one of the characters I have the most experience with.

It’s why I only gave suggestions on Cody and Heihachi, two of the characters I have the most experience with. And I think Ken is fine as he is right now.
