Juri is not even a problem. I just didn’t like how herp derp she was. Like you could mash pinwheel for free and i was confused why any juri would do that. I’m a sf4 juri and she is so unsafe that one mistake will kill her. I just know all her options so the fight is nothing but just get the life lead on her and just get in her face and bait the ex pinwheel and lili counter it for free 180 damage. She got nerfed first time because most tekken characters didn’t have a five frame move. What capcom should have done is made the tekken characters have at least one four frame move. The super nerf came as a surprise to me…juri did 350? That’s pretty nasty =). Oh well. Adjust guys. Juri on paper is still a great zoning and keep away character. You can get offensive with her but only when you stock a fireball. Trust me the chain combos make her very good because she has good pokes to go into launcher.
Yeah, after the initial “wtf” I’ve kinda’ moved on. She hasn’t lost any of her tools and still functions well as either a point or an anchor - overall the nerf was more weird than anything.
Like Silph though, I am paranoid that Capcom is going the wrong direction with all the nerfing and very little in the way of buffs. And from the sound of it, Cammy gets to keep her jab pressure?
As a Juri/Cammy main, I’m not complaining in the slightest, lol. :razzy:
I didn’t get it at first, then I played a good Juri and realize how easy it is to land that super. It’s almost guaranteed when you have the meter and its easy to get it in almost completely unscaled if you know know what you’re doing. The only reason they nerfed it is because Juri is all around good and it did a bit much for such a versatile character.
I’m happy – this patch is a clear step in the right direction for SFxTK, and I think the game is going to pick up big after the DLC lands.
Like i said juri is still a strong character; much better than her sf4 incarnation. If she has to hold the lead she will and can. Probably better than most dp characters. All she does is sit back and punish unwise jump ins.
I certainly hope you are right. She’s too awesome of a character all around to just throw away. Besides being the only female villain in the Street Fighter series currently. Or am I blatantly forgetting someone… Perhaps its because Juri just stands out too much.
Welp. There was the dolls Juni and Juli. They were kinda sorta bad girls. But i get what you mean as a villain. I mean heck she’s paired with The bad guy, Bison. I like her because she’s just freaking nuts. Her facial expressions are hot to me i dunno why. Maybe i like yandere girls lol.
With the nerf coming to the shotos air I WANT SOME POUND CAKE Juri’s c.HP anti air will be godlike again.
Yea Juri is gonna be JUST FINE. She needed to do less dmg IMO
Meh. Ken’s tatsu was brain dead and stupidly good. I think Ken on paper is average. but he’s the best set up character in the game. Nobody comes close. he sets up some sick combos for lili that range about 40% to 50% with just one bar sometimes.
This is true, though she was already one of the few who could reliably punish crossup Tatsus since cr.mk’s super-low hurtbox makes it whiff. It’s just incredibly hard for me to time online for some reason, so I always eff that up, lol.
She just hits all the right checkmarks on my “how to make Roknin’s favorite characters” list.
-
Female (not required but a plus).
-
Have a penchant for maniacal laughter.
-
Kick ass.
-
Give no fucks.
Not all my favs fall under that list, but Juri hits all of them (a few others hit most - Yamazaki, Edge, Bryan Fury…). Never mind the fact that she’s pretty much a “mirror” of Kim Kapwhan, one of my favorite KOF characters of all time…
And it just dawned on me that if a CVS3 does get made and it’s team based… I could have a Juri/Kim team. O________O
Anyhow, yeah, Juri. Probably my favorite FG character in the last decade.
…I feel like I learned a little too much information there.
I kid. Kinda’. :razzy:
i had to get it out, my real life juri texted me last night trying to borrow money for some kinda bullshit and if you ever had a real life juri , you would realize sooner or later she coming to kick down my fucking door and start the drama manipulation or fighting, blackmail…i had to vent random forum post lost in interwebs, now back to the scheduled program…just saying stick to the videogame juri , you can just turn the power off
I like Cody cuz he’s the only street fighter in Street Fighter.
20 days
Yeah that was my point. Ken and Ryu and Akuma’s air tatsus had like 0 hurtbox so Juri’s c.HP would either trade, whiff, or get flat out beat. Now it’ll hit consistently if timed and aimed right. They can still hit you if you just throw it out with bad spacing.
I mean you’ll still be able to hit the air tatsu, but it has to be deep. As in right in your face where you can anti air me.
See in the current version Juri will either trade or whiff in those situations. I"m hoping with the air tatsu nerf it actually will just hit them out of it.
i’m not keen on her sfxt options. Def hit up vulcan hades on juri tech. that guy imo is the juri of sfxt atm. I would say neutral jump mk would stop air tatsu in the future, but may also still trade.
Have you guys even seen the picture of the new tatsu’s hitbox? That thing is so ridiculously small I bet a random jab can stop it lol.
Yeah the new hitbox is amazingly small. Can prol’ly get a cr.MP once they sail helplessly over you. Maybe even a cr.HP.
Eh, I’m overestimating how much of a change it is, but I can’t wait to try it out. My only worry now is that Ken players’ll stop using it against Juri and Cammy… you can blow up the badly spaced ones so easily and punish for like 40-50%.
Random DLC thought: Oddly enough, I’ve… actually been kinda’ sad Rose isn’t in this game. Put her in and give her back her Soul Illusion. <3
I like juri because she acts like a slut
Would’ve loved to have her and Dee-Jay in the game. Imagine Dee-Jay in this game, he’d be so awesome. EX Dread Kicks would cause wall bounce, EX MGU would cause juggle, and his knee pressure would be great. Perhaps buff his fireball to compensate for his much-weakened cross-up game, something he’s always relied heavily on. Oh well.
