Street Fighter x Tekken DLC/Balance patch: 7/31/2012

Hahaha when the coaster first came out, a bunch of people got to ride the whole thing for free because they cut in the line. Now WE get to ride the whole thing, but it cost us another 1/3rd of a ticket. :looney:

Speaking of the DLC-on-disc issue, if this is truly a bad business practice has anyone filed a lawsuit regarding this or addressed this issue in BBB or something?

I heard like a million people did that, and if everyone on the Unity forums followed through on their threats to do so it’s no wonder Capcom’s BBB rating dipped a little.

Also the people that cut in like got to hang out with the theme park’s two retarded yet strangely endearing mascots. While I don’t care as much about them, not being able to chill with them ever is still kind of a bummer, no matter how much they suck.

Imo, the stage design isn’t too bad. I feel it is an homage to Sodom’s Truck stage in Alpha 2.
The music, however, is THE WORST stage music EVER!
Definitely doesn’t fit the atmosphere. It should be more rock n roll oriented, instead it sounds like Al Yankovic’s worst polka song.

Just to warn you, if you have SF4, X Tekken and UMVC3, you might want to leave the others. I own SF4, X Tekken, UMVC3, 3rd Strike, Skullgirls and KOF, and I don’t have time to play all of them.

I heard Lar’s is like a mixture of SF characters, he looks cool nonetheless.

I collect, so there is no way to avoid having the others. Skullgirls, while awesome, is at the bottom of the list. KOF13, BB & T6 are the top 3 that I seek to obtain next, outside of the fall releases of TTT2, P4(I finally found out the origins and excitement about this game) and DOA5. VAFS also makes me curious. VF4 Evolution was fun.

Speaking of stages, why is that the training stage is the one always used in tournaments? There are plenty of better stages out there.

Because people are so pro they couldn’t possibly play on something with any distraction. Personally I think it’s ridiculous, I thought we were supposed to be making fighting game tournaments more interesting for the average schmoe.

i Held on threw the silence online period to the fix and then decided i would finally come back when it was a complete game, i have played christie in tekken since 4, every char i mained since sf2 was locked away, i been waiting for this day and now i will be eatin alive by those that stuck with it

The training stage is mainly used to help avoid frame rate drops.

it’s not distraction. Just try to block a burn kick on sf4s volcano stage, avoid a teleport trap in the heli-carrier.

Also, flashier stages cause more frequent frame drops ( This is prevalent in marvel and SFxT) which is just… Awful.

Training stage is the easiest solution. I would love to see more stages too, but really, it’s the lesser of two evils.

They assaulted the BBB against Capcom, but frankly it was a fraudulent complaint considering laws have already been passed supporting Capcom’s ability to use on-disc DLC. Additionally, Capcom is far from the only company doing it – they are, to their disadvantage, the most transparent about it.

Yes, I find it comical so many players compare them in comparison to say Foxconn. BBB complaints over DLC is just dumb.

Think about all the iPhone games that support in-app purchases. All you’re doing is buying a key to access what you’ve already downloaded. People seem to think that because it’s on a physical medium, that’s it’s somehow different.
