Street Fighter X Tekken Arcade Fightstick V.S

yeah there isn’t any, I am sure there are a lot of folks out there like me that are real curious as to the size weight, and packaging. Will get something up tonight.

I am in the exact same boat, ordered mine last night can not wait.

Are you from Australia? if so i am interested to know where you ordered your stick from.

No I’m from the US  I feel your pain having to pay that much for the stick though! Im sure it will be worth it, right now this has to beat the OG TE rd1 I have and the VSHG, and I think its possible it will

$200 may not be too bad… Remember, there’s more metal in this stick than the other ones.

What impresses me besides the ability to link the joysticks are the potential options for decorating/customized art on this joystick. The “front studs” that I didn’t like suddenly became nice-looking after it was pointed out to me by d3V that you could mount art there. (Besides, you know someone will eventually come through with “transparent studs” that are hardly noticeable. Don’t worry parts vendors – I don’t copyright ideas; I just throw them out. We’ll see if somebody follows up on this suggestion!)

Yes, it will make a nice 2-P option… You really won’t save anything buying the official 2-P faceplates from Japan… You still have to decide metal with no parts or, faceplate with parts. If you’re a Sanwa fan, the V.S. is probably the better option. Even if you like Seimitsu better (I’d just replace the joystick – keep the buttons unless you don’t like the colors or want more customization options), it’s still probably cheaper to get parts-equipped cases.

With the yen-dollar value at its worst in years – plus an additional $50-$60 shipping fees for large panels, the $200 V.S. doesn’t look so bad after all…

Quick unboxing, no commentary and I compared the size of this stick to the Eightarc pearl.

Must say I’m very impressed with this stick in person.

I will post a more in depth video this weekend when I’m off from work. Hope the short video helped out.

Yours truly

^Looking forward to it. This looks like its worth the splurge even though I already own a stick

Criticism for web video posts:

Please, for the love of god, get a steadicam OR put your camcorder on a tripod!

(Steadicam’s are surprisingly cheaper than most people think. There are instructions to build your own all over the web. You literally only have to spend $20-$30 tops in material that you can find at a decent hardware store. You will probably have to get a counterweight at a sporting goods store, though…)

Shaky-cam makes people nauseous. On a small camcorder, the situation’s even worse because of the light weight of the hardware.

I don’t think it’s a bad idea to have someone else shoot the video for you (WITH a tripod of steadicam) OR position the camera on the tripod first – even if you have to use tape to mark out your spot for shooting.

It’s nice to have these first-view looks at hardware but having smooth, non-shaky video is just as good, too.

Hey guys, got mine in the mail today and have a concern.

I noticed in the unboxing vid that the fightstick had the stickers on the bottom plate as most Madcatz fightsticks do.
My fightstick dosent have the sticker on the back, nor the little warning sticker telling me not to open.

is this normal? just wondering if this may be a mistake by Madcatz or the guys i bought it from.

Not to take any credibility away from the person you bought it from, but I would take pictures of it and, what I would do, is first make sure it works, then open it up and investigate every bit of it, I can’t see a mistake like that made by MCZ.

Where did you buy it from?

I bought it from an Australian retailer. would this void my warranty completely?

Hmm…I would consult with Madcatz or Markman on that issue, when you got the stick, did it have the security stickers on it (stickers you have to cut to open the box)

It did. but i did actually notice they were put on a bit strange. as if it had been opened already. and important stuck at work for another 5 hours. if somebody on here could look into it for me i would love them forever.

Mind saying which Aussie retailer? in Melbourne myself and might maaaybe might finally be in the market for a stick.

Slightly off-topic, but I just searched for ‘fightstick’ on jbhifionline.com.au and it came up “Did you mean: FIGHTSTAR, or FIGHTS, or Fishdick?”. Rofl. I clicked on ‘fishdick’, but no results for that either! so, all in all, an odd suggestion

Appreciate the concern, I specifically stated I was going to post a QUICK video when I got home, I will use my tripod this weekend on my longer video,

gamesmen.com.au. don’t take my experience badly. i get all my sticks from there they are really awesome.

where can i pre-order one of these for under 150 in the UK?
