So I just got my stick in the mail…it’s pretty nice. I haven’t noticed any imperfections on it…except the buttons seemed to be a little scratched up. That’s not a problem since I am swapping the buttons anyway. I actually like the artwork so I don’t think I will change it anytime soon. My stick is #761.
Just got mine last night… im having a hard time keeping it in my lap steady… The weight is a big difference for me. This thing is light! (In a good way) Just gonna take some getting used to.
Do you notice that the white plastic base is also a bit loose from the red plastic? I opened up my stick and equally tightened (not too tight) each screw connecting the white base to the red shell. Somehow… even though the metal panel isn’t directly connected to the white base… the plate seems to be a bit more level. Perhaps it was warping due to pressure from the screws inside being different tightnesses?
My problem has since been solved. Perhaps I’m just lucky.
The reason i ask such an idiotic question is because if you go to the gameshark store and filter products to just madcatz products by clicking madcatz, the pro stick doesn’t show, you have to sort by license by selecting Street Fighter x Tekken.
Someone might want to fix that because as of now it doesn’t show when you look at just madcatz products.
They’re all JLFs from Sanwa; the springs can vary a bit. Try picking up a replacement JLF-SP spring (and some alternate springs like LS-32, LS-33, LS-55) to mess with to adjust the tension to your preference.
I figured since it was new it would come with a tightened or just a naturally taut spring lol. I do have a replacement from my old mod though. Thanks though.
i went to purchase one of these today i made my order everything was hunky-dory then later i found out that a friend had a TE stick he was willing to sell me cheaper because i just wanted a good sturdy stick becaues a wwe 6 button face controller just isnt cutting it for MvC3 and AE. So i went back to the Madcatz site to see if i could cancel my order and low and behold all the trouble starts. I read the faq on how to cancel the order and then proceed to log into my account. It tells me my password is wrong… i use retrieve password… my email shows no password or reset… then the website slows down to a crawl …great. Maybe Madcatz/gameshark should upgrade to a 2011 quality website and fix there faulty system. I even noticed when using the SRK.com cupon code it wasnt even being applied… hopefully they just do that at processing. Now to wait till tomorrow and call customer service which has awkward hours to begin with…
its easier to focus attack/ultra w/ an arcade stick than a 6 button face controller?! And my complaint was more so about the rather shit website madcatz sells from w/ a broken log in and retrieval function which makes canceling a order outright impossible. I dont know though maybe its this way on purpose; most companys dont care for customer service or having a good reputation anymore.
Hey. Just so you know the power was out in San Diego (and 1.5 million homes in the Southern California area) so, needless to say… There were some ISSUES with our servers.
I will try opening it up tonight when I get home from work. Overall I like the stick. I have a VLX and love the wrist angle, but the stick is too large to take anywhere. Hoping I can get the art to sink properly b/c there is an edge on it and it is annoying, lol…
