Maybe for people who don’t follow Tekken? lol.
It’s suppose to appeal to both fanbases. Jun would have been a nice throw back and display of Namco not forgetting Tekken’s history. Nina on the other hand, no.

Paul will have Deathfist. Deathfist will be neutral on block, and EX Death fish will go through fireballs. Tackle into Arm bar will be his command grab. I don’t know how Demolition man will be implemented but that obviously should be his third special move.
Eddy and Xiaoyu will be able to RLX/AoF under fireballs. Both characters will have completely different normals in those stances. RLX :d::df::r: :k: will be RLX f+3+4 in tekken. Can be stuffed with certain normals but is neutral on block.
Well… if there’s one thing I can guarantee between the two versions is that the Tekken X SF version will probably have the better music. If there’s one thing Namco beats capcom on this stuff in their recent fighting titles for, it’s the tunes :3
With the exception of the Sheep stage, it’s exactly the opposite.
Yep pretty much. And obviously a majority of FG ppl do not follow Tekken. Most of us follow SF though.
Hell even KOF/SNK only fans know about most of the SF characters
I think to the casuals, Nina is more appealing.
Speaking of stages, it would be cool if they mix match the stages and have their own maybe music to them.
I think it would fit the game more than creating original stages but it is just my opinion.
Sheep stage. Dark Flower stage from T5. DO IT.
The sheep stage is so awful it careers through the ‘bad’ barrier back into ‘awesome’ again XD
It was worth it just for the ‘wtf’ comments from my friends the first time they saw it :3
Remember Indestructible. Something so bad can turn legendary over time.
So many trolls.
I actually rather liked Indestructable (or ‘the next door’ to use it’s proper name) but it was wildly overused in SF4. For the intro? Sure. For the intro and menus? Bit overkill. For the Intro, menus and character select? I don’t think any song could or should last that level of abuse
I heard Bob and Rufus will be the official Evil Geniuses team.
Haven’t read this whole thread so not sure if this has come up. But is this game looking like SF X Tekken: 3rd Strike to anyone else? I just watched the video and first thing I noticed how much the game looks like it plays like 3S but with tekken characters and tag.
All you saw was a 30s long fight sequence bro.
Fixed…
The main thing I want to know, is are they going to sell both versions separately or both games in a bundle for regular price or something. Because I do not want to buy two different versions of the same game.
The Namco version won’t be coming out at the same time according to their presentation
That is true. But when I saw the speed of the game, it just reminded me of 3S. The dashing was fast, and dash x throw shenanigans were being used… little use of projectiles. Loads of melee combat with super/tag linking? I’m convinced from the footage this is what they’re going to be doing anyway. A 3S style fighter, maybe with parry or no parry I don’t know - with Namco characters and some tag team sort of gameplay.
Nothing else would make sense . because SF cast would dominate with a proper projectile game. And they can’t make up a bunch of projectiles for the namco cast. So 3S formula of footsies/super cancelling> projectile zoning would work well.
They could make a full cast of just characters that are still alive even though they were killed.
Whats wrong with buying two versions of the same game. People do it all the time. SFxTekken will be a different version of SF4 and TekkenxSF will be a different version of Tekken 6. Either way your buying two versions of the same game (if you bought either of those two games to begin with).
You won’t be… they’re going to be two entirely different games with presumably the same cast…
