So I caved in and got the UK LE Steel Case. Came in yesterday and smashed through all of the footage except the directors commentary which I’ll do tomorrow. A little disappointed with the interview footage since they were all a little on the short side and didn’t really offer anything that I didn’t already know (this could’ve just been me geeking out a little too hard before the disc release though lol). The costume and sfx one were the only interesting one to me tbh. Was expecting a little more bonus content tbh. If it came with more behind the scenes footage such as these, then it would’ve been perfect aside from including the OST.
The art cards were neat and I liked that they’re printed as actual photographs. Ken’s video diary were amusing and so were the outtakes. Deleted scenes wasn’t as exciting as I initially imagined, but I guess they’re deleted for a reason. Epilogue was some badass shit though.
I’m thinking they’ve probably reached the bottom of the bag with things that they can show off from filming but havn’t yet. They could still pick up their q/a video series again though!
There were a few things talked about that I assumed would have made it onto the extras but didn’t so I’m assuming Joey and co. have more on the way. Plus there is still the artbook and Volume 2 of the soundtrack still to come.
This movie magically lines up with ALL ARTISTRY in ANY field whether the martial ARTS, sciences, music, etc.
Some people push themselves so hard they go to the dark side but it often creates MORE than people who have more balance and seek to purely CREATE with their skills. It’s like Tyson vs Ali. Tyson was trained through years of solitude to SURVIVE and seeked to DESTROY anything in his path like Akuma. Ali was more of a pure artist who CREATED in his art so much it influenced the world like Bruce Lee or other examples in any field like Einstein, JK Rowling, etc. BUT I think most of those artists who end up representing the “light” side like Gouken did had a DARK period in their lives where all they did was train in their skills like Akuma otherwise they would have never gotten as good in whatever it is they do. Like JK Rowling was homeless writing on scraps to create Harry Potter and the stories or horrible seclusion and survival are common with people who do something in any field from music to fighting.
Just a great representation of artists and fighters, and a movie that makes you think about your own artistic journey and where you are at
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen here. Would be nice if Joey and the rest of the cast & crew published a video on the progress of ‘World Warrior’ and the upcoming ‘Resurrection’ mini-series.
