OK so if everything he announced is true there won’t be multiple versions of the game, no super, no ultra, just a SFV with DLC, that’s good.

Didn’t Sakura learn all of Saikyo from Dan in like 3 days, then realized how awful it was, then started just emulating Ryu from videos?

I like that they’re taking their time and not rushing this, realizing how important it is to just get out the best possible fighter, then keep it alive and updated with DLC and patches. Beats finding out they finished USF4, Omega Mode, and SFV all withing a year of each other.

Since it is so early in development…Anybody know who I should complain to about the revenge meter and the netcode?

Being on Unreal means it will be easy to mod. I’m looking forward to that.

I’m happy they are taking their time, however SF4 is not something they should be drawing inspiration from.

The footage they’ve shown already contradicts that though.

The only thing that seems to be from IV is Revenge and even that seems to be nerfed this time around.

It’s actually a very clever nerf that fixed a problem of having 2 separate and unrelated meters in 4. Instead we now have two separate meters that ARE related, that can be combined to give something more powerful and rewarding. I’m thinking the requirements will go like this:

Special - No Meter
Ex Special - 1 Ex Stock
Ex Power-up - Full Ex Meter [No Equivalent]
XX Special - Full Ex Meter [Souped up Ex Specials, only during Ex Power-up; Equivalent of Double Ex Stock Specials from Omega Mode]
Revenge - At least 50% of Revenge Meter [This is the equivalent of Super Moves]
Ex Revenge - Full Ex Meter and Full Revenge Meter [Must Ex Power-up first then perform Revenge; Equivalent of Ultra moves]

Speaking of decapre. I really want them to continue her story in SF5 with cammy being a doll again. Maybe if Charlie is working for shadaloo then they’ll be his side kicks.

Looks more like Charlie is with the Illuminati now though, not Shadaloo.

I highly doubt that Decapre ending is canonical.

SF4’s endings were done in such a way that they are all canon. Many of them are fragments of the same story and complete one another.

So Cammy and Decapre are very likely in stasis in Bison’s basement.

Did someone just ask to complain about the game that isn’t released yet? Ok.

I don’t mind Ryu sticking with the same gear. But I think there are ways you could alter his default look and still have be very apparent that this is “that guy from sf2”. Like what if in one game he didn’t tear off his sleeves? People would still know
