Hmm, I know I had Bison on my list of possible returns, but I’m somewhat not sure now. As someone said before, it was always “assumed” that Charlie was killed, or kidnapped by Bison, but actually he just disappeared after his fall in the Alpha 2 ending (someone chime in if things are different in the comics).
I think IF Bison is in, it will be more so as a rivalry between Shadaloo and the Illuminati and Urien. The very things they were doing, were the things Bison was trying to accomplish with Shadaloo. I’m not thinking Gill will be in as he (for all intents and purposes) wasn’t really “evil”, per se. Urien was really the jealous, manipulative, sociopath whereas Gill was trying to be a savior (of sorts).

I think its more the water streak stemming from her hands that looks similar to the inkblot streak of her SFIV focus attack that made you think it was a focus. Without that water streak it would look like her reg ole fierce.

It looks like FADC esque techniques might be possible anyway with “V-Cancelling”. It may prove to be useful for Ryu especially since he only requires two EX stocks to use it, I guess it will all depend on what the recovery is like on his V-Trigger whether it will be useful like it was in SFIV.
I’m more interested if Ryu can do a blockstring like cr.mk ->hp hadouken and then VTC into another cr.mk into hadouken to break his opponents guard.
Similar things have played on my mind, it seems quite strong to me on paper, given that surely you can guard crush into a combo and build a significant amount of your meter back. It only seems to take four or five medium hits to build a bar, meaning Ryu could potentially guard crush off a few strays, a few trades and a combo. And depending how much meter he builds back in the follow up, he could be just a few strays and a few trades away from guard crushing again.
I’m just glad my main every since Alpha, Charlie (Nash), has returned. Now if we can get confirmation that all the characters everyone wanted in SFIV that didn’t make the cut, get added.
I’m pretty sure Chun continues to build meter when powered up, so if you knew what you where doing you could apply some pretty nasty pressure and nearly always have enough meter to stay powered up.
I’m pretty sure that meter build on power up/V-Trigger is going to be one of the things that’ll constantly be adjusted as the game develops.
