I don’t know why but I don’t really care about tekken 7 anymore at all… might have something to do with the whole leo thing, or just apathy towards tekken as a whole since tekken 5. The only thing that somewhat interests me is that supposedly the PC version will be the best version SFV has all my allotted hype right now. As far as what namco is up to, rise of incarnates seems much more interesting then tekken 7.
oh no no no you misunderstand. I have 0 hype for rise of incarnates, I just think it seems more interesting then tekken 7 does right now. Maybe getting hands on with tekken 7 will change my mind but I just cant muster up a fuck to give about it. Tekken 6 only interested me because of the character customization and the fact that I liked leo as a character and how he played. Everything else was just “welp its tekken”. Which is fine! Just yaknow…not for me! The last tekken game that I enjoyed for the sake of tekken was tekken 5.
I’m sure it will be great for fans of the series! But I’m not the sort for 3d fighters. I usually end up playing in a way that makes people mad and ruins it for everyone. Like I mained maxi and nightmare in soul calibur and apparently that made me satan. And in tekken 5 I played steve and asuka, also making me satan apparently, and then tekken 6 I played only leo and no one called me satan or spit at me! I dunno, it was the first time in a 3d fighter where I felt like there wasn’t a lot of “you picked this character so now we are mortal enemies”. I’m sure tekken 7 will be great for tekken fans tho.
Yeah that reminds me about a year and a half ago I did a search for Sakura vs Karin expecting the fighting game characters and the Naruto ones take up the search results instead. Namco X Capcom is the last game I can remember her being in which is a shame.
I hope the netcode is good enough support a social platform of this calibre. Also Capcom Fighting Network sounds better than Fighters Network, but that’s just me.
Goddammit I know this has been beaten to death but when I see this picture; I can’t but help hope they don’t revert to a more SF4 look. Ryu looks so much better on the right side of the image.
Yes, they need to sharpen the colors to make the characters pop more as they did in the Charlie gameplay trailer, and yes the SF aesthetic has always been more cartoony, but it has to evolve from SF4.
Check out his last picture on Twitter:
Ryu starts looking SF4 again.
But Charlie looks good and they’ve upped the background lighting which I like.
SF4 has NOTHING on SF5. The graphics and animation of this alpha SF5 obliterate SF4 in every way. Look at that new shot that Ono posted, look at the shading and shadow on Ryu and Charlie’s arms, the lighting, the strings on Charlie’s boots and that hyperrealistic Blanka pouncing on Ryu from behind. It’s so just delicious like candy, I want to eat it… I want to eat all!
I hope they have a wide range of emotion in their models. Thats something I liked from SF4, the characters “Jesus fucking christ why did you press a button you incompetant fu-” before they get ultra 2’d in the jaw and sent sky high.
So what are the odds of SF5 being at E3 this year? Personally, I’m hoping for preorders to start and a new trailer showing several playable characters.
No new news for Street Fighter V was given. The Nash (Charlie) trailer was shown and Francis announced that more information on the game will be released at E3.
