Saw an interesting concept for Sakura on the Saikyo blog. One of the comments suggested that in SFV Sakura should be a P.E. Teacher not a schoolgirl. That’d be a great evolution of the character. They already have the P.E. Student outfit in SFIV. Something like a track suit jacket and jogging shorts instead of bloomers. Give her slightly longer hair and you’d be good to go.
A fair number of her moves are inspired by P.E. stuff in SF4, it’d be cool to kind of emphasize some new moves in addition to her classic stuff inspired by Ryu.

Ah I never saw it. Yeah that would work perfectly IMO. Kind of funny it’s exactly what I described but I’ve never actually seen it before, it’s a pretty simple design of course. Very anime trope like so not a surprise.

Remember people were thinking Karin would be in a later update of SFIV, then people thought hey she’ll be put in SFxT for sure. Still no Karin, a character that appeared only once (SFA3) and took the world by storm. A character whose name was chanted in unison when Capcom announced the new characters for Ultra SFIV after EVO 2013. A character who was #7 in popularity amongst all street fighter characters in the massive world poll, and #1 in Japan (where SF is made).
The licensing fee must be super high, or Capcom really cheap for them not to include Karin.
My heart just sank reading this comment. I have a feeling she’s a no-show again this time around…
Or Ono saying he wanted R.Mika after releasing SSF4, teasing her costume during characters revelations for SFxTK only for it to be a costume for f’kin Kuma and finally featuring her getting trolled in Decapre’s trailer.
Well I’m still positive that Karin will end up in SFV (Ayano told us to look forward for news the last time he spoke about her), not so sure about Mika.

You’ve never played 3rd Strike.
- Seth is nothing like Urien outside of cr.rh/cr.hp cr.lk and that’s it.
- Necro is a stun combo character, rush down oriented, nothing like Dhalsim
- Twelve is one of the most uninspired characters in sf history
- Remy is a more variabled version of either Charlie or Guile. HE doesn’t have 1 game plan.
