i have a buddy who tells me that the ps4 hori stick feels really “plastic” and that he doesn’t like it much at all.
told me i could have it for cheap so i might buy it from him real soon.
Are they done sending out codes, or have they just started? If they’re done, I’m out, lol!
Apart from that it feels to me like the stick and the buttons are too close together , I can’t figure out why, I guess I was just really really used to the classic TE1 I told my friend I would sell him mine as well,I will try a TE2 eventually.
To the players from different countries who got codes for different regions: I do not know how matchmaking will work, but for the love of God USE THE CODES YOU GOT FOR YOUR RESPECTIVE COUNTRY. I don’t want to spend the little time I have with the game playing against teleport hax due to shitty connections.
I’ve played people from Canada on SF4 and had great games, same for some US players too. I’m from the UK. It’s not always a lagfest if you both have good stable connections.
Nah, man. We’re here to test out the netcode, let’s TEST OUT THE NETCODE
Outta curiosity, what are your connections like? I’m usually doing 30mbs/s(both upload and download) but unfortunately I’m running at 15 this month. I have little to no visible lag on USFIV(regardless of the shitty port’s input lag) or on smash 4, so I should be good to test…I hope.
So I made a meme this morning for all the fellow beta players.
Let’s GO!
I can’t find the wallpaper or theme this comes with. Any ideas?
Yeah, one. Look in “Themes”
Crazy download speed, although whats up with the the marginal difference with the upload?
I think you only get it with digital preorder, at least someone told me that on the last page.
IDK and IDC, I don’t upload anything
Disagree. These types of long distance connections are one of the most important things that need to be tested with Capcom’s new rollback code. They need to be able to at least get it to the quality of GGPO enabled games which, for the record, can be somewhat decent on trans-Pacific connections.
It’s ping that matters, please understand. Down/Up speeds don’t affect your fighting game latency as the packets that the game sends are ridiculously small.
Thanks to Finland, fiber-optic connections are pretty much the standard here:

People think this beta is about them playing Street Fighter for some reason. It’s not. It’s about making sure everything is optimal for next year when the game is released and then it IS about playing Street Fighter.

Latency matters not bandwidth. What’s your latency to a Japanese server?
How difficult is it to put in Lab Zero’s drivers?
This pad shit is going to make me hella salty tonight.

(still hype though)
6pm can’t come sooner.
Beta comes a couple hours after I get off work.
I bought the beta from the PSN store on Sunday and just traded in my Xbone for the system. Got the system for about 200 bucks. Beta took about 7 minutes to download so just waiting till 9. I was hoping Gummo would send my stick today so I can get it for the weekend. If not I don’t mind being a pad warrior for the beta.
I’ll be streaming since I have a PC and capture card and will mostly be using Chun Li. I’ll let you know when I’m live, considering nothing weird happens.
