This. Iām actually kinda irritated; the americans already had some extra beta time and now when theyāre doing region specific tests (in order for each region), people are still connecting from unauthorized places.
The playerbase isnāt even that big in Europe (and we werenāt guaranteed to join the beta; you could only sign up to be randomly selected), which makes it even worse. I had some terrible matches already.
My experiences:
-Netcode is not even near GGPO-level good, but better than SFIV.
-Gameplay feels solid and quite fast paced because of no hard knockdowns
-Ryuās parry sucks except for eating full-screen projectiles for meter
-2 UK players ragequit, 1 UK player kept taunting. Nice job UK
Sounds like you guys are just mad you didnāt think of creating NA accounts for the other tests.
No one knows what to do against my Birdie haha. I just turtle until they fuck up enough to fall for mixups. I think I like him more than Chun ATM.

Yeah, I think itās down now. Very pleased with the connection quality with people in my own region, ended up going 84-12 all-in-all. How did everyone fare this time?
Chun is still my favourite character, waiting on Ken to be playable or a Cody reveal(Hah).

Went like 100 something-10 (srs). Better people started playing the last few hours, which is where most of my losses came from. Itās weird though, because I havenāt been kicked out yet and Iām not even actually from Europe.
Netcode is pretty garbage for now but itās the right direction.
I also REALLY hope they get rid of that stupid shit where you donāt start on the same side every match. Starting on the side you die on makes no sense unless you start where you actually die like in MK. Iāve been thrown off multiple times because of this, even though the YOU arrow is pointing at me at the start. Then I also get confused with what side my meter is on. Itās cost me few rounds.
Nah donāt worry I believe you, half the players were just going balls to the wall with reversals or jabbing a little too much in most cases. I did meet some super good players towards the end though and having that taste of āeven levelledā play made me appreciate how good this game actually feels. I bet a lot of people here had similar ratios.
Iām kinda baffled at how that can throw people off, it isnāt that hard to just remember.

Lol not at all. The only way i could play the beta was to preorder on amazon and make a US account, but i wasnāt one of the ones bitching and then being totally hypocritical by doing the exact same thing today. Hell i had a good 6 hours play time on the backs of you US guys lol. I just find it funny that you guys were whining about EU players doing this on your day and then doing the same exact thing today. I mean you guys were guaranteed the beta by predordering whereas the rest of the world, it was luck of the draw, so to see all the complaining when smart EU people managed to beat the system and get into the beta on US accounts and then those very same whiners turn around and make EU accounts today and STILL complain about āDah Netkodeā and āconnectionsā is rather laughable.

Yay I beat gagapa in the runback. I get what u mean, though. The game is really fun when youāre not just baiting random shit all game from bad players. Still getting matches, and while the netcode isnāt amazing, is still way better than SF4 ever was. I can finally aa and whiff punish somewhat reliably.
