Had 1 legit game against a British guy. The rest was teleport-city to varying degrees.
The game vs. the Brit was pretty damn smooth though. Worst game I had against a guy with a Spanish flag though. Even my game against a fucking Australian was smooth compared to that.
Combos and timings overall feel…a bit weird. I suppose I will adapt to them in time. Also gotta work on hit confirms into super (and executing super in general, Dualshock 4’s dpad is fucking awful, I gotta get a fightpad with proper dpad)
Out of curiosity I tried playing on WiFi, see if it’s any good for netplay in SF5 (I had more or less positive experience in SF4 on PS3 with the same setup and my connection was sufficient enough for Battlefield 4 with no lags noticed). Verdict - not the best idea. Few matches were more or less fine with some rollback, other times I just lost the connection to the host. So next time I’ll definitely hook up my PS4 to the router with a cable (thankfully it’s in my room, so no need to pull a cord through the whole flat)
Also it seems they pulled the plug for tonight. Too bad. I tried Ryu today, so I suppose I might try Charlie next time. Since I don’t really know how to play Chun nor am I able to play charge characters (which means I’m skipping Bison entirely either way) - I’ll play Ryu and Charlie until the beta restarts (hopefully with at least Ken in it, wishful thinking - with Necalli and Vega as well, I.E.the Gamescom build) whenever Capcom officially announces it
Oh well, those were kinda fun ~15-20 minutes. Though I really feel myself like a fish out of the water here, after playing SF4 for like 3-4 years straight
imo the Dpad is fine on the ps4 (mind you, I am a controller user for the last 20+ years or so). I actually struggle with execution on the stick, but I just started really using one 3 months ago, but inputs 1000000X better on stick.
If anyone is interested, there is an add-on for Chrome that you can download called “Page Monitor” and it will check pages for changes at any interval you set, and alert you on your desktop if there are changes in the page, along with making a sound.
I just set one up for that page to check it every minute, so if it updates, I will know within a minute.
This reminds me of how the first few days the beta was up, Maximilian was always able to immediately reconnect after getting disconnected. The Illuminati is real
