Street Fighter V: Beta Version unofficial Feedback & report thread

It seems you still have to have a PC or console capture card to record footage basically.

Can you stream though? Even if the footage isn’t being captured?

Damn it’s down… I wanted to play some today.

Hopefully it’ll be back up later. I like Ryu (not really), but I need cammy bad.

Gotta go back to ganking folks in bloodborne to pass the time.

Oh yeah, I HATE the stupid placement for TE2 sticks for the option/share button. I rest my stick on a blanket in front of me and if that dumb button gets the slightest touch it pulls up the share options…happened mid match twice.

I have a feeling the true beta is imminent

I fucking hope so.
If they open it up later this day, I’ll be a happy person.

I don’t own a PS4 TE2 (have an Xbox One one that I modded to work on PS4), but the X1 TE2 has a lock button it, and when locked, it makes it so that none of the top buttons, as well as the Home button, not do anything if pressed. The PS4 one doesn’t have this?

I thought I was the only one with the blanket problem. Accidentally taunt people in KI and Marvel when I’m not trying to.

I get off work in 7 hours so hopefully it’s up by then.

According to the TE2 sales page on the MCZ website it does

I can’t confirm personally, though. My TE2 should be in today, so this is nice info to know.

Would be nice if they’d also design their games in a way that you can navigate the menus without pressing options or anything that isn’t the games buttons.
At the SFV build at GamesCom, you had to press options on the menu screen and since it would always default to the menu screen after a match, you would have to lock/unlock the stick all the time.

Please do not design the game in a way that you need the options button here and there. Just make the menus fully navigateable with the ingame buttons.

My hori kai also let’s you lock the options button though I have less issues with the placement of the button with that stick

I just got home and i tried to get back on. Seems like its down. Now im sitting here saying to myself, “Please dont make me play SF4”. lol

The journey of a Nash beginner.

The gameplay in SFV feels rly good so far.
I have spent quite some time with every character
into the lab, but mainly with Nash in training mode.
Yesterday Birdie and Cammy were also available
but they are gone today after another login.
The visuals are pretty cool I think.
So far I have played about 50+ games - 47 games
vs US and players from Canada and only 2 players
from Europe. All the match footage on this
highlight reel was live recorded. Most of ppl
online don’t know the block strings, punishes,
frame data etc yet including myself, but there
were quite some good players online who got
some solid fundamentals of SFV already - AA me
everytime, punished my unsafe moves ( such as f.HP )
and knew quite some cool setups and combos.

Compiled a short highlight reel today.
Anyways, more SFV footage is coming soon as long as
I can login again.
Until then GGs, thanks for playing, thanks for watching and
see you in SFV.

Very awesome video! Good stuff!

Im going to get into charlie once I have a official PS4 arcade stick. Hes just too technical for me to use on the DS4 gamepad.

I’m just gonna leave this here…

Why would you? We all know some matches will have bad lag and other will play like offline. So I dont see the purpose of this.

Nah absolutely none of the 35 or so matches I played last night were anything like training mode. Even in connections that were almost that good, there were dropped inputs left and right. And then you would get throw after a jump in attack before you could even try to continue the pressure with another move. It just seemed like things happening on my screen weren’t the same as what was going on on my opponents screen.

That was pretty painful to watch. I’ve had some pretty laggy matches, but nothing to that degree.

I had a few matches like this. One time I connected with Bisons ultra and the animation started, the screen lagged and flashed white for a second and rolled back to Nash punching me in the face.

I have a question for anyone who may knows more about this than me. Why can a small team of 8 people put out an alpha (Rising Thunder) which is considerably more playable online than SF5 which is supposed to be a triple AAA game?

I had one against a chun li that makes that one look like a great connection lol to be fair it was against someone in italy.

Most of the issues I’ve faced were against people in other countries, I’m not sure how rising thunder is testing but are they doing it worldwide?
