As I said I used the address of a US company I’d used in the past.
The code did not appear so I started a chat with an Amazon customer service person who pasted a code into the chat window, so if anyone has any problems with their code not being sent to them I’d recommend that.
As expected the code only worked with my US account, was able to redeem it via the playstation store website, will have to download the client when I get home and hope it’ll be playable via my EU account.
I think a pretty absurd amount of people are doing this as SFV is currently #1 in Amazon pre-orders.
They e-mailed me saying that Best Buy’s Tool generator wasn’t working properly and that once the tech specialist figure it out they’d e-mail them out…Best Buy trying to blame Capcom if you ask me, considering others have gotten codes - shots fired! I’m calling Best Buy out, stop blaming Capcom for your insolence and crappy service. THREE people I talked to on the phone didn’t know what the heck Street Fighter V was!
Rant complete - go thru PSN. Get a cool theme, download took me like 15 mintues. But I have a 50 meg and the connection is disgustingly awesome.
Thanks to everybody who posted about the Amazon preorder trick to get into the beta, got my code, downloading now. If I am lucky and get a code for the European beta as well - I’ll give it out to whomever is in need of one
Just had a Tweet from Capcom_UK. “SCEE Street Fighter V Beta invites will be going out to successfull candidates at 3pm BST tomorrow! (23 July) #riseup”. Thats a long time to wait
I’m in niggas! If you see a chun/birdie player that intentionally tries to disrespect you, it is most likely me. Looking forward to getting my ass kicked by people who’ve already played it before.
