On second thought, maybe they are just going the Alpha route and the flashy gameplay may still be fun. This is undeniable proof that Omega’s style of gameplay is there for us to get used to how SFV is being designed, since even the brief few seconds of gameplay shown looks much more “loose” than SF4.
This is almost a guaranteed spiritual successor to Alpha series, they probably just didn’t want the name for sales and story line reasons I’m guessing.

Reminds me of Alpha. I like it.
I kind of wish they’d take the art style in a different direction. It feels a lot like SF4: The Sequel. Like it’s darker and more serious but there is still A LOT of SF4 in there with the weird sternum cave on Ryu. The funky round shoulders and the big feet. Plus the ink effects. Really if you cover Ryu’s face it’s pretty damn hard to tell that it’s not just SF4 with the gamma turned way down.
Judging by the fact they are VERY QUICKLY shutting down these videos, and the content of them (Showing Evo Moment 37, multiple players winning and freaking out, ect) this WAS what would be shown at Capcom Cup.

Imo the art direction looks a lot more like MvC3 than SF4.
The logo looks more to me like SF3 NG than 3S as well.
