Fixed.
Christmas bump:
Aussie readers will get a chuckle out of the fact that Emma Kearney (Kylie Minogueâs double in SFTM:TG) later went on to be one of the chicks who had the threesome with Warney (Shane Warne, infamous Australian cricketer and adulterous pants-man despite his fat gut and head like a dropped pie).
Warning: naked bodies ahead. NSFW:

4th picture wut?!
Yeah that pretty much sums up Warney.
Read this whole thread today, and wow i greatly appreciate mr noons contribution.
I watched the movie for the first time in my entire life last weekend. This was a pretty bad movie and I have correspondingly more respect for the game as a result. Even though it was a terrible game, it still gives SvC a run for the money.
I had not previously checked out the pictures linked to in the blog post: those are excellent and thank you so much for sharing.
Itâs a real treat to get a sneak peek behind the scenes, so: thank you very much.
Just discovered this oneâŚ
Kind of makes it fairly unique among all software these daysâŚ
ie Juli and Juni?
Ahead of its time indeed⌠I suppose there are a few features in SF:TM that everybody overlooked because the graphics put them off and they thought it wasnât true SF⌠At that stage, it doesnât matter what the gameplay is like because people are going to slate the game without playing it.
Are you kidding? These days they are paying ten bucks a pop for downloadable content in the form of hats and whatever (that link proves to be the number one download)
Hmm. Ibuki has even been used outside of SF3âŚ
Fantastic. Also makes me want to track down the game and check this outâŚ
Hmm, air moves in Vs is one of the reasons I donât like those games. Probably because it reminds me of SF:TM!
Well, in fact, Darkâs main criticism on this board is that heâs too similar to ScorpionâŚ
Iâd agree with that to some extent. Ultras are probably the biggest negative in SF4 for me right nowâŚ
I think that was the point - different games by different teams. I suppose itâs a shame that the arcade game was never released for the home.
Heheheh. This cracks me up. One of the biggest criticisms of SFEX was that the jumps were too slow!!!
Assuming wikipedia is correct, and that the arcade machine was 384x256 pixels, there would probably still be a lot of scope for improvement. What was the resolution of the original footage? Even a VGA (480 pixel-high) game image would be more than presentable. Standard definition is clearly better than '80s definition⌠Using the same as Guilty Gear would be nearly a 90% improvement, and it would show off all those colors better!
Yep, I think that 2D is officially dead now. Youâd have to be really stupid to attempt a modern game that wasnât in 3DâŚ
Request for BloodStorm Info
Iâm gonna bump this, hoping the BloodStorm discussion that follows gets split into its own thread.
anoon, since you brought up the topic, would you be able to tell us anything you can remember about this game?
Iâm currently in the process of looking through the ROMs for version 2.22 of the game (01 and 02), and am finding some text strings I havenât seen anywhere before:
BloodStorm unknown text; some highly vulgar
Spoiler
I LOVE ELAINE
LICK MY LEFT ONE
WHAT A PUSSY
FRIENDSHIPSâŚMY ASS
GET OUT OF HERE YOU
FREAKIN ASS HOLE
YOU JUST PEED ON YOUR SHOES
BEND OVER CAUSE IM DRIVING (*)
I BEAT YOU
NOW BEAT OFF
EAT ME
SQUEAL LIKE A PIG BOY
GO TO HELL YOU UGLY MOFO
YOUR HEAD MUST BE YOUR ASS
BECAUSE YOU LOOK LIKE SHIT
EAT SHIT AND DIE,
YOU SON OF A BITCH
USE THE JOYSTICK ON THE GAME
NOT THE ONE IN YOUR PANTS
WHAT A DICK HEAD
SEX AND VIOLENCE
AND ROCK AND ROLL
TAKE A HIKE SCRUB
YOUR ASS IS MINE
I marked the one with a star because, not having seen it in the âcompleteâ FAQ, I have seen it in the game:
In version 2.22, I was playing Blood, and had defeated Ratchet, and while waiting for a number of codes to display (Iâd really stacked 'em up), I was greeted with Talonâs laugh, and a white message that said he won (the hell?), and then the driving line appeared. Since I knew all the messages and effects my entries should have produced, I was puzzled.
Further, Iâm starting to wonder if the FAQ really has everything documented.
So, for the tl;dr crowd, hereâs my questions to anoon:
-
What exactly did you work on for the game?
-
If the linked FAQ isnât complete, what hasnât been discovered?
-
Were the spoilered strings unused?
3a) Is it because they were just too foul?
3b) If not, how do we get the game to show these?
just got into this game thread, i still play the game, 1st time i played it was at a Grocery Store some years ago, when it first came out. i loved all the info.
Some things i can remember from a gamepro article i read way back when the movie was coming out. If Memory serves me as Anoon stated previously Sawada was added as a poster boy for capcom, but on a side note Capcom decided to put Capt. Sawada in the movie after Kenya Sawada applied to play Ryu(or Guile), canât remember which one, and was turned down but they didnât want to loose him from the movie so they created the part of Sawada for him to be kept in the movie and that led to his role in the american version of Street Fighter Cartoon, he stayed in as a rival to Guile(taken from the movie), he was against the invasion of the Shadaloo Base, and (in the Cartoon) testified at Guileâs hearing that he went against orders to invade the lab.
Interesting Note**
He doesnât have a sword in the game as stated by Anoon, but in the USA Network Cartoon series it is showed in One Episode that Sawada uses a Katana to help channel his Ki, itâs an episode where he and Guile are battling over what i donât know.
wish i had read this article sooner, the cartoon didnât come out till after the movie and i must admit that i would get up early on Sat and Sun to watch the showes, i also like how they kept the Charlie as Blanka theme, in one episode he turns back into charlie with some medical cure, and turns back into Blanka to save a girl too good!
That cartoon was ridiculous in every way. Best episode ever: Guile and Bison temporarily work together when both are threatened by Akuma.
Well⌠itâs better than that âSONIIICCC BOOM!!!â guile pulls out for every problem!
Time bomb ticking? SONIICC BOOMMM!!!
Cammy running away? SOOONNICCC⌠ahh i cant!
No! Blanka! Not the headbite!
Or the ridiculous things Guileâs superiors would do to get into contact with him. Like leave a sandwich plate arranged to form the letters âSFâ outside of his hotel room door.
Hehe, good to see this legendary topic get a bump.
I have been playing arcade SFTM every day for the last week, and am quite into it now. However, I can find nothing online other than basic moves lists at gameFAQS, and this thread, which is cool and all but isnât really about the game itself.
Today I hit an air-to-air jab with Guile and comboed it into another air normal, THEN a Flash kick (all still while in the air) But I couldnât do it again. HOW DO I DO THIS AWESOME COMBO?
Also I am gagging to know the tiers and infinites. Any help?
Shane Warne is a legend.
Pretty late into this, so this is going to look like a Feb 2009 Dejavu, but I just saw the Chun Li movie and I seriously didnât know there was a way to make the Van Damme movie look good, Iâm being likeâŚDead Fucking Serious right here. The 1994 movie feels way more SF-ish than that Chun Li garbage and we all know how far off of SF was the 1994 movieâŚso go figure, oh and that ulgy Black Eyed Peas dude as a Vega whose ass was handed to him in like two minutes? GTFO with that shit! The guy of desperate housewives as Bison? Last I checked M.Bison isnât supposed to look like my dad, it would be cool in a weird way but no, just NO!
Damn I just said that to DrumlinerJoe.
But im totally bisexual so that was some pretty homo shit to say.
They should make Street Fighter The Movie: The game: The movie
just because.
Oh we got an infinite loop going nowâŚ
