Street Fighter story

can anyone tell me the stroy to street fighter? Like who is ryu and ken, wats their re;ationship and wtf is shadowloo or shadowlaw watever

Here it is:

Twelve people fly around the world and beat the snot out of each other for fun.

And that’s about it.

oooooooooooooooh booooooooooooooy…

Turns toward camera with evil grin

Well, here we go: Street Fighter is a partial continuation of Ninja Gaiden. Ryu Hayabusa and Ken Hayabusa are son and father. Ryu likes to fight cuz he has a very one-dimensional personality and split personality schitzophratic jeebies. Ken fights because Bison, the super pedo in red, touched his tra-la-la, and it is now causing him to become gay, unless he can keep the testosterone flowing by (you guessed it) fighting. Chun Li fights because she is very sexually frustrated. Men no likee girl who fight. More she fight, less chance of sex. No sex, more she fight. Vicious cycle. Zangief isn’t fighting, he’s just full of love, and foreplay for him just tends to strongly resemble fighting cuz…that’s just how they do it in Russia. Honda fights because he thinks people are making fun of his doctor-prescribed chiropractic adult diaper. Dhalsim fights for more crack. Blanka is the brother of Slimer from Ghostbusters. If he wins, his brother gets a real body and gets to live again. Guile is tired of people saying he’s Bart Simpson, so he fights, even if nobody says it. He is also running from his family cuz he thinks his daughter Amy was really fathered by a black man, and his wife is playing him. Balrog is just a shot-out violent ex-rapper…kinda like LL. Cool J or 50 Cent in 20 years. Vega is the son of Fabio and Ryu Hayabusa…but he’s a fruit loop. Sagat is a random thai crackhead who buffs up in the later games, after he gets off the pipe. He fights because crack killed his father, and raped his mother. Bison is an evil pedophile with a flaming touch that turns it’s victims into…well, flamers over time. His victims must engage in manly, testosterone-pumping activities, even in their sleep or they’ll up and move to San Francisco and become poofters. Ken is fighting it, but has already moved.

and akuma hoshi is ryu hoshi’s dad.

it’s unclear wether his real name is akuma or gooki though. but the last name part and their relationship is never disputed now…ever.

hahah thats a pretty funny story… but seriously guys. isnt there more to twelve ppl beating the snot out of each other?

ROFLMAO…Dude your killing me here:rofl:

Hello MungKi! Welcome to the SRK forum boards.

According to Capcom Japan, there is no such thing
as an official storyline within the Street Fighter games.
However, there are various “mini” plot ties that are, in fact,
written as “canon” such as Ryu & Ken training together,
etc etc etc.

The only official content given by Capcom Japan are
birthdays, blood types, etc, which you can easily
find on the internet. The Plot Canon (linked above
by another member) is a good source for these
character bios, but please take it with a grain of
salt when reading the storyline. Capcom has not
deemed any story as the official story.

(I give mad props to the author(s) for making that FAQ)

If you are just getting into Street Fighter games, play it
for the game play, but dont expect a strong storyline.

“Mini” plot ties is putting things mildly. It may be a loose storyline, but there is one nevertheless, and it flows more smoothly when noting what Capcom Japan has written rather than what Capcom USA has put together. When you play any of the games you write your own continuities, but what happens before, after, and occassionally within each 1-player session constitutes what the plot and canon is all about.

looks like its time for you to go get the games and start playing. or if your lazy, u can always go the anime route. or udon comics. all hav some differences but all are good. well… except for street fighter 2 anime v.

More and more, I’m starting to think this is actually a language barrier combined with interpretation thing on what the words “official story” and “canon” actually means to Capcom of Japan compared to various other people compared to even more various other people. Because that was actually significantly vaguely worded in a way that leaves open some possible interpretations. For example, technically, Street Fighter has always been about “mini-plots” even in my own definition of what “canon” is, so…
