So in the beginning Makoto has a list of schools / dojos she plans to beat down. One of the schools is named “Kenichi School.” Well the ‘H’ is kinda blurry so it might read “Kenicmi” but that doesn’t sound right… :sweat:

This makes me wonder if this a reference to the manga / anime “Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple.” Of course in the manga Kenichi’s school is actually called Ry?zanpaku. Anyway, that manga was heavily inspired by SF characters (the main female character Miu is a dead ringer for Cammy) and Capcom even produced the Japanese fighting game for Kenichi in Japan.

LOL well I think Makoto can beat the crap out of Kenichi (at least at the start of the anime / manga) but I dunno about Miu and the rest of the masters at the school. They are HELLA BROKEN… I’m rooting for Makoto though. :looney:

Anyway I enjoyed this issue which was a slice in Ibuki’s life. There were nods to her SF3 endings too in the book which was cool. Also, it felt longer than your usual SF Comic coming in at a full 22 pages with a lot of dialog which was a nice bonus. I wanted to see a bit more with Elena but here’s hoping that will happen in future issues. And next issue —

Yeah I enjoyed the issue…i love the fact of ibuki living a dual life school girl and ninja. cant wait for oro next issue

loved it much more than the first issue, the art seemed much more along the UDON lines of perfect and awesome, the first issue’s art seemed a little flat to me
all the schoolgirl humor gets to be a bit much at times but it’s still cool seeing Ibuki, Makoto, and Elena all hangin out
I also can’t wait to see this Oro fight, should be pretty epic

so whats next after ibuki? i been spoiled gettting two issues of SF a month , now im back to one and I havent heard anything of the next series?

I wish they had done a Dudley series rather than Ibuki to be honest, even though I main Ibuki I think Dudley is a better personality
but ah well, I don’t see why all the Legends series are about the chick fighters
I hope they release a trade of the SSF2T series they just finished up soon, because I missed all of it

Not sure about the SFL series but the SF3 series should be next for Udon since that was promised a while back. No official release date yet that I know of so chalk this up to speculation for now. If SF3 starts it should be in July, or any time after July? Guestimate going by Udon’s schedule but things change so who knows.

Can master Enjo be the original Geki from SF1 and the teacher of Vega (Claw)? I would be sooooo happy if UDON would cannonise this connection in the remaining two issues of “Ibuki”! And also looking forward to the fight of Ibuki’s Clan against the Geki Clan…
