Nice mix of Ninja antics and High School hijinks. Looking forward to seeing more of that other SF3 character shown at the end of the book. Great seeing Omar Dogan’s pencils again. :tup:
Will Vega (Claw) and Geki appear in this series? Or Guy? Are there any clues?
When I first heard that Zub was taking over writing duties for SFL, i was worried that noone could capture the character’s voice of Street fighter like Sui-chong can. Fortunately, my fears were proven wrong when i read this issue. I’m not gonna say any spoilers just this:
“If you loved SFlegends vol.1, the magic and fun is back in this issue!”
The Geki Ninja Clan is in it, so yeah a lot of Gekis.
Was hoping for a Vega appearance aswell since I’ve always had this little theory that he may have been taught ninjitsu by them XD.
I loved the issue, the mention of a “That’s what she said.” joke really sold it for me along with the awesome artwork and Makoto punching someone in the face XD.
Oh and “EARLY MORNING AMBUUUUUSH!” cracked me up.
Can’t wait for the next issue.
It was more entertaining than it could have been, definitely. Ibuki’s not my favorite character in SF (hell she’s not even in the top 20) but she didn’t do anything that seemed out of character, and the only time the book wasn’t focusing on her it was still maintaining the focus on ninja shenanigans.
Makoto’s role is okay… I guess she could be like that, but it’s kind of a disgrace to people who practice karate in order to maintain self-control. She seemed a lot more calm to me in the game. But whatever. Her reaction to ninjitsu was pretty funny.
The only problem I had with the whole issue was that after the mysterious ninja dude appears, he says “Come with me.” Then in the next panel he takes off and says “I’ll explain next time we meet,” and Ibuki chases after him and loses him? That really confused me, did he want her to come with him or not?
You sure the ninja just isn’t the boy at the beginning? (I think it’s her brother or something?)

There’s quite a few places but some time has past and the sites I usually toss up links for either have it sold out or on back order. Run a google search for ‘STREET FIGHTER LEGENDS IBUKI #1 FOR SALE’ and you’ll come across a ton of different options. Lots of places out there that sell comics online and chances are you may find something close to where you live.
I enjoyed it. I got it on Ebay and recieved it today.
I think its better than the SFII Turbo and SFIV comics already.

I agree about Makoto, she didn’t seem like the calm collected girl she appears as in the games. Though I guess her attitude in the comic is to show how vigorous she is.

Can not wait how Urien, Gill, Necro/Effie, Twelve, Dudley, Remy and Sean are portrayed, as they are the ONLY characters now that have not had a chance to be in the comic.
Nice interview. I’m a little disappointed at the idea of including more SF2 characters in SF3 though. SF3 already has its own characters, and they haven’t had a chance to shine for years, so why cut down on their spotlight just to add more SF2 characters to the mix? Because it won’t sell otherwise?
