Street Fighter Legends: Chun-Li #1, the first issue of our new SF comic series is hitting comic shops everywhere this Wednesday. The story features a young Chun-li as a Hong Kong police officer, and includes plenty of other SF cast, both well known and obscure.

Picked it up earlier today, boy they were selling fast! Only 2 left when I got mine.
The art is solid and colorful; I would have expected no less from Dogan. The story is pretty different. Good, but it doesn’t quite feel like SF yet, more like an old Jackie Chan film. I’m sure once Sagat starts handing out beatdowns the book will hit some familiar territory though.
Overall, looking forward to #2! And of course the smorgasbord of SF next month.
I was going to pick this up today, but my local comic shop just got shut down. Weep for me.

@matt: Whats this Target exclusive stuff about SFIV. Does it mean the comic? And if so what is the target exclusive version?
Loved seeing Po Lin again from Masaomi Kanzaki’s manga, but she doesn’t have a little brother? I strangely feel like someone died… :lol: Well loved her and Chun-Li’s “You’re Under Arrest” antics lol! Nice seeing Dan’s father too. :tup:
Nice catch SANO on the Po-Lin name. As you all know, we are big fans to Kanzaki-sensei’s SF Manga (That is why we remastered it too!), so when we are thinking about the name for Chun Li’s partner, we used that name.
In a lot of ways, when I plot this Chun Li series, a lot of things are tributes to stuff that I like - Chinese Gangsters movies, Dirty Pair type 2 girls going crazy after bad guys, then You Are Under Arrest type car chase, etc etc.
And I always want to do some back story for Dan. The relationship between him, his father, and Sagat will be the main focus on issue 2!!

loving all you guys do on your original SF titles man, not a big fan of the translated stuff and dont buy it, but Ill be dammed if I miss a Origial SF title from you guys, one of the best IF NOT THE BEST comic out there IMVHO
THX for the kind words! I do recommend you to check out the Nakahira trilogy = AF Alpha, Sakura Ganbaru, & Ryu Final. That series has a very rich story to it and it inspires us to make our story better (it is a big challenge!!). Especially when you read them in order, and building up to the RYU FINAL series!! Give them a try!
Picked up Chun li 1 yesterday. The story is building up excellently, I can’t wait to see how Sagat loses his eye to Go. And is it just me or does Sagat seem a bit more menacing with both eyes? lol.
Omar’s art is just beautiful. Chun li looks just beautiful in this. Can’t wait for more.
This issue was amazing cant wait to get more on Dan. I got ideas flying in my head makes me hope he good in SF4!!!
