Just picked up this stick for my PS3 recently to replace the Hori I used to have when I was still a 360 guy a couple years ago. The look, feel, and weight of it are great. But, like others I’ve opted to mod it with better parts. So far I’ve swapped out the original stick with the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT-SK with the next mods being an 8 way restrictor plate, bat top, and new buttons.
However, since I’m an old school gamer who grew up with the classic Happ buttons and their concave surface, the more popular Japanese buttons with the convex surface and shorter throw to them just don’t appeal to me at all. That and I prefer the old school “click” of the cherry switches and a place to rest my fingers which the Happs are perfect for.
So, I need to find out if these classic Happ buttons will work with this stick or not -
