When youtube suspends an account do they delete all of their videos? That would be really ridiculous. Hope he comes back.
I was actually considering registering for ign to see those evo vids but now I am not going to. I doubt they even contacted the guy before just reporting him and screwing with him.
Ditto. I was on the fence on whether or not I was going to join the stupid IGN thing. After this crap, I’m definitely not going to. 5 Lordaborigine vids are probably greater than all the SFIV footage that will be on the EVO DVD that wasn’t played on the stream.
If Abo’s account was suspended as a result of him posting from that shitty 10fps EVO stream, IGN isn’t seeing a dime out of me for those videos. It’s pretty clear whoever was responsible for the suspension doesn’t give a rat’s ass about the community, considering he was the #1 source for top match videos on Youtube.
Leaving the preview-quality videos–let’s face it, that was their only value–up wouldn’t have done anything except sell more Insider subs. Now it’s going to lose some instead.
FlavorChocolate uploads japanese SF4 vids as well. Hopefully nothing will happen to him or else we might actually have to go on the japanese sites to watch them

Damn… Abo had some of the best vids on YT, not to mention he seemed like a top guy.
Hopefully this gets sorted out soon and only the EVO vids are removed and everything else is back to normal.
Last time I felt this bad about a youtube account was burningvigor.
Who else uploads vids? AHOjagi, min0ra, and flavorchocolate are my backup guys, but aren’t as up to date.

Youtube probably saw a ton of videos similar to the EVO ones they were supposed to take down… got scared shitless and suspended his account.
AHOjagi is now my only source of new vids coming out, and he hardly updates (especially compared to Lordaborigine who uploaded about 10 videos every 2 days.)

Wow, i’m not spending a dime on ANY evo dvd’s, screw ign, screw evo, and screw whoever suspended lordaborigine’s account. They can’t force us to buy something that is FREE. So if i go to the zoo, the manager can tell me “record all you want but if you want to put it on youtube you can’t, wait til we release a dvd of the animals and then you can buy it & show your friends”. Evo already got sponsorship, they already got money from capcom, gamestop, ign and whoever else sponsored them so they’re good. People already paid for the SF4 game, people already paid for an IGN subscription and people already paid for a plane ticket to vegas. And on top of that they have to pay for a dvd of the event??? What???

when was it told his account is banned? I remember AVGN got suspended once I think, but he’s still on the site. I know LordBBH got banned due to music copyright violations. Darksydephil hasn’t been suspended as far as I’m aware, but he has had videos force removed… I think if YT was looking to ban Lordaborigine, then it would say “this account doesn’t exist” instead of “this account has been suspended”. big difference.
hmm when I looked up LordBBH to see the result, it said “suspended” also… wtf. I hope suspension is case by case and not “if you’re suspended, you’re banned”
My YT was banned for the few EVO vids I uploaded (took then down after infringement notice but was still banned). The message reads “Your account has been disabled permanently” … there may be hope for lordaborigine since his message is different, it’s still a long shot I’d say.
It makes absolutely no sense that they would ban the account and get rid of ALL of their videos when the user can just register a new account anyway. Complete waste of time.
Just relax… Don’t start pointing finger. It could be a lot of reason. Maybe it’s not Evo, maybe it’s not IGN. Unless I hear from lordaborigine, i wont blame anyone just yet.
