It was great to see Momoichi’s Ryu in action, but man did he get owned pretty hard in his last match by a very aggressive Akuma player(forgot his name). I don’t understand why he wasn’t EX DP’ing through those air fireballs that the Akuma player kept throwing. I hope he doesn’t give up on Ryu though, I’d like to see him play as him more often.

I am looking for the finals for NSB6 - the link posted by nohoho ( http://clipcast.jp/t/NSB ) lists blocks, which I am guessing are pools, but the finals aren’t listed. If the finals are in one of the videos, I have no idea which video its in.
Can some one please help?
this is pretty awesome, how come i only see it now…
i see how daigo is the best now, he does the setups so subtle you can’t see it until it is too late.
the korean champ got godly execution, he combo like it is kof, then again lost on short of solid fundamentals.

Can someone guide me to the video, where this one guy thinks he has already won the game and then gets beaten while he is screaming and cheering himself up? I forgot what match it was…
It was a Viper vs Sagat match, I think.
Liston vs Kensou at Final Fight…

Amazing match between Itabashi Zangief and Poongko. Right down to the wire.
!!! lol
3rd set was just as close

Those matches are a good example of why Zangief is still considered high tier among the Japanese. There is very little room for error.
Actually I think those matches are good examples of why Ryu beats Zangief… his footsies are better and that freakin jump instant hurricane just resets the situation way too well. Gief can still compete because the footsie differential isn’t that great, he usually has higher damage output, and Ryu generally has to hit Gief a lot more than Gief has to hit Ryu, but overall I think Gief loses.
I definitely think Ryu takes the match at this level of play, but I’m not so sure this is a good example of why. It really went down to the wire. Could have been anyone’s game really.
These videos are from tgx 09 in Singapore. Here are the 2 channels with most of the fights.
