I could probably spare a half hour with you online this afternoon to help you out. I’ve been trying to figure out this whole region thing myself but no luck so far. The colors aren’t the real issue for me cause I can just borrow Raas’s copy since it seemed to recognize his save. I’m bummed out about the costumes I bought from the EU PSN store. Hope there is some kind of solution for this.
Seems like you got raped with the price there Star.
So are we having a crack session this weekend or what? I’m up for Saturday all day.
Interesting…
This leads me to think that it is about product code then and not region. Possibly HK, JP and US version share the same code? Oh well, my bane for being an EU gamer I guess. Always get the short end of the stick whinewhinedramadrama /endrant
Sup guys. I plan to move to China after I graduate (probably around August, September). I play on 360 right now (from the US), any suggestions as to what I should think about when moving? Like, would a PS3 be a better investment, etc.
Still not sure whereabouts I’ll be… narrowed it down to Tianjin, Suzhou or somewhere in Sichuan haha.
Hello Chuckles. Our group here usually either goes to the arcades or do casuals at someone’s house, mainly on PS3. We have some online going on every now and then too. Either a PS3 or 360 is fine enough although if u want to play online with us u’ll need a PS3. If ur 360 is modded (sorry if I’m crossing a line here, moderators) u’ll find that China is an amazing resource for games. hehe But even to get original copies you’ll find them really cheap in online stores. Might I ask, out of curiosity, what are u coming here for? Study Chinese?
If you want to play online at all, you’re probably better off with a PS3. Most 360’s in China are modded, so I’d imagine the online community is pretty small. Come to think of it, everyone I know here with a 360 has a modded one. =/
Hey guys! Looks like there will be qualifiers for SBO here in China. More specifically Xidan will be a match point. This is all I could gather from this site and the poor translation from google.
Edit: Here’s another link. Sadly it’s all in Chinese but if you use Google Chrome browser you can translate it.
In other news, we’ll be having a new place to duke it out. I’ve finally found an apartment. It’s a 10 minute walk from Zhichunlu subway station. For all you Wudaokou residents that’s just 1 station away.
I plan to work for a bit. I’m a Chinese major haha, I figure it’s a good way to put off real life for a bit/get some more experience in my field. Good to know about the modding situation, might be picking up a PS3 then haha.
With a PS3 you’ll be pretty much set. We’ll be at it online day and night.
What up bitches? Reporting in from Hong Kong! The humidity here is killing me. I think I may have stumbled upon an arcade. Thinking of checking it out though it looks a little sketchy.
I’m back from Hong Kong fellas. This Saturday we’re moving into the new apartment so it’s very likely I’ll be hosting casuals on Sunday. I’ll be SMSing you guys soon.
Carmen, I don’t know if it was the area I was staying in but I only found this one arcade in a basement. It wasn’t that big and there weren’t many people either. I didn’t sit for any games cause I was dragging my backpack and luggage with me. Hopefully next trip I’ll be somewhere more central to check out their scene.
I’m moving to Beijing (living out in Tongzhou, though) in July for 10 months to do an internship and am looking to keep my SSF4 game sharp on my days off. I take it with the game not being out in arcade yet that sessions are mostly happening in houses and stuff? Would love to get in on it.
