Congrats! See you this summer.
Grats roogle!
Guys I’m gonna be in BJ bright and early on the 14th. We should get some games during the weekend. I need my cassies!
I’m out of commission until next Weds I’m afraid.
It’s cool man. We’ll catch up once you are done. My move won’t be happening before mid-July.
On the D3 front I still have no account of my own. We walked into 4 stores in Greece and every employee all but laughed at us when we asked for it. The game is sold out completely and they won’t have stock before next week. At the same time buying it online is also a no go since there is no CC option for payment. I think I might bite the bullet and either make another account or have my folks scan and send me a utility bill so I can make my account Greek. In the meantime, I’ll PM you Kim’s account which we will use interchangeably.
I’ll be in Beijing on July 20th for a day, overnight layover going to Chicago. Don’t know how my schedule will pan out, but I’d like to get some games in, arcade or house meet.
I just need to get back to the airport that night, because my flight leaves early, and I don’t want to wake up at 4 or 5 to get to the airport on time.

Cool, I’ll be back in town for sure by then. I can host or we can make an arcade trip or whatever.
Awesome, I’ll hit you guys up with my phone number a little closer to time, when I know how my schedule’s going to play out.
Been way too long since I’ve played, I’m missing it.
Its a bit hard for me to make home cassies during the week since I work so far from you guys, but how about hitting dongzhimen? Its super close to me which is obviously the most important thing, but ALSO its super far from Trouble Brewing - win win I dare say.
Also you can transfer from there to the airport express so its a pretty convenient point of exit. Only thing is that the last one is a bit early - 10:30.
Eh, I was already planning on bailing around 10:30-11:00; it was always the time I had to bow out of the arcades in Seoul anyway. So that’s no big deal.
I’m all for an arcade meet, I’d like to play as many people as possible. But home meets aren’t too bad either. But Dongzhimen sounds like the perfect place for me to play and go back to the airport from.
Raas can’t read so he probably doesn’t realize July 20th is a Friday.
I’m down for either hosting or just hitting Dongzhimen. I should be back to Beijing by the 15th.
So I hit DzM today and DaKou and XiaoHai were there! NEAT.
In other news I’m totally bad at this game.
Shit, I wish I would have known.
My “moving” ended up being pretty half ass.
Lucky you. So what’s going on with that tourney? Any news?
Hi, I’m coming to Quingdao from the UK soon and I’m wondering if i should bring my xbox. What happens when you connect it to the internet since there is no XBL in China?
Qingdao right? Please be Qingdao, because that’s where I’m at.
Anyway, bringing your 360 is fine, and connecting to Live is fine, it won’t effect your region. If you can order British subscription and point cards, or maintain your debit/credit card back home, then your XBL is fine.
Latency is hit or miss, Chinese interwebs are notoriously bad, but maybe inner-city there’s halfway decent connections, but I haven’t had a chance to try, my SF4 disc is broken, going to try to replace it while I’m in America this month.
If you know what district of Qingdao you’re going to be in, let me know. There’s an arcade here downtown with AE, but it’s an hour bus trip for me to get there so I don’t go often (buses don’t run late, no subway here). But maybe we can do a meetup one day.

That’s cool, I’m no great player since I only started playing quite recently but I’m sure it’ll be fun to meet up and play anyway. I’m waiting for things for my Visa but when I get it the company I’ve got a job with want me to get over there ASAP. I don’t know in which area I’ll be living, but i guess it’ll be somewhere that is close to my school. Qingdao is really close to Korea, so is it possible to get a Korean playstation and play vs them online, or i guess I can play on PC if there are any players?
Do you use a VPN? I’m looking at different ones now and trying to decide which one is best.
I have one VPN that I’m not too happy with at this point, lots of dropped connectivity and random authentication errors.
I’ve heard HideMyAss is good, but no Hong Kong server. VyprVPN is supposed to be really good, and if you’re living alone, that’s probably a good choice.
As far as playing with Korea, there’s still plenty of Korean players on Xbox Live. So I wouldn’t worry about trying to get on PSN. (Besides, most of the Korean players on PSN use Japanese accounts, so they’re indistinguishable, and connections to Japan are horrible.)
I’ve been using Witopia VPN for 3 years now and it’s been great. The HK servers don’t work in China but the US servers on the west coast have decent speed. It’s $60 a year for their Pro service (don’t get the PPTP). Best yearly investment I make.
Still for sure going to be in BJ on Friday. Still not totally sure of my schedule. I’ll send my number to Trouble Brewing, and just shoot me a text back.
Missing Person, I’m sorry but I’m running late getting back to Beijing. The earliest train we could get back to town leaves on the 20th, so looks like I’ll miss you this time.
I bet you can get something going with Raas/Aki. Swear at them a lot for me please.
