He is lying to you about the market going up. The housing market here is crashing. Landlords are just trying to squeeze every little penny out of every person here in beijing. My landlord tried to do the same thing. So i moved out, into a better place with a nicer view and signed a 2 year lease this time. I hope at that point the market will have crashed and i can buy a house cheap.
Hey guys apologies for going a bit off topic, i been trying to find out if there is anyone in china playing mvc3 online on xbox360 from SRK? i live in the south and most people just stick to ssf4 or AE in arcades.
In addition, is there any local website that host match videos or streams? (both for sf4 and mvc3) justin.tv got blocked and now i am completly out of ways to watch any decent gameplay. finally any good shoryuken.com local websites? (HK, taiwan, mainland all good)

No worries. The Beijing crew pretty much all play on ps3, so no luck on the 360 comp I’m afraid. Yes there are Chinese sites for sf4 vids… Alas I’m on mobile with no links currently.

Btw, beijing guys, I finally managed to dl the ps3 update to my iPod. I can bring it this weekend if you still need it.

Internet has become completely unbearable. I can’t even get on gmail with or without VPN unless I use HTML view. Forget doing anything on PSN for that matter.
Word on the street is that the internet is going to get better before too long.
I have no problem running Gmail through Thunderbird or via browser… though at web cafes I’m unable to log on…
Though ya, Internet has been pretty slow (though I am using wireless to connect to Jared’s Internet and my wireless is like… really bad)
Through Thunderbird it’s been working great but browser is really slow even when switching between folders. Firefox 4 RC seems to be loading it a bit faster.

It seems that the situation in Japan might soon become stable (granted the cooling system is not damaged). From the research I’ve done it doesn’t seem that we will be affected in anyway so no need to go scrambling for salt and iodine tablets (not that you will find any. barely got enough salt for tonight’s dinner). But I am no expert in any shape or form. What do you guys think? Has anyone spoken to an embassy? Not being paranoid, by the way. Just wanna get my facts and info straight.

The US embassy in Beijing doesn’t seem to think we’re likely to experience problems. Even in Japan they’ve only told people within 50 miles of the plant to get the hell out of dodge. I think we are fine.

The solution very partially works for me. I have been doing all my mailing/contacts/calendaring through Thunderbird+Lightning+Zindus to continue working smoothly. It’s funny that I can get on SRK without a VPN but when I turn it on the site just times out. Wxxxxxx has good service but the method they use to manage accounts is prehistoric. They basically only know you by order number.

I have to say durrrr that Wxxxxxx has delivered and I’ll definitely be renewing my subscription with them. 2 days ago I couldn’t use the solution they had given so I e-mailed them again stating that I can’t access the new gateways and that I’m on their ssl service. I got a mail back about a day later with a solution that now works perfectly. They also stated that they’ll soon be fixing all gateways and improve a lot on their services.

Unfortunately, we only have vanilla JuBeat here, no Ripples or Knit, and on top of that, because of arcade operating restrictions in China, none of them are connected to the Konami servers, so you can’t use your Konami ID, so no song updates or unlocks either.
I’m down in ??? every week or so playing GFDM V6, Mozarc, and occasionally JuBeat. Feel free to PM me if you ever want to session up there. AE is out there now too so I couple of the other guys may be around depending.

I don’t really think his comeback potential is really that great compared to a lot of the cast. He has virtually no mixup.
It was mostly x-factor that made his comeback potential so absurd, massive chip f’s and no move HSFs. + random armored launches + who knows what other top level garbage but that’s neither here no there. Still 900? Any real lvl3 combo Ace’s him in one go now and he’s way easier to hit than other people in the same class a la ama. Seems a lazy way to balance. Kinda like how I feel about dark phoenix lvl 3, she’s just rapes whole teams blocking. She’s not gonna get hit, even tho it only takes one. Sents gonna get hit a lot so should have a lot of life, tone down the other stuff.
