Yo Carmen, Rod passed your stick on to me since he left for the states. I went ahead and popped it open to see what the deal is… Long story short, I can do it. I might need to pick up a few tools, though.
Also, I’m starting to wonder whether part of the problem with the stick is that the pcb doesn’t jive well with your converter. Some people have reported that your converter is decent, but I swear it has problems with multi button presses and maybe dropped inputs. If you’re serious about doing some updating, you should probably pick up an InPin converter. It’s the converter of choice for the Korean Tekken scene, so it has to be good.
It’s a site ran by a respected member of the SRK community. He’s in Korea, so shipping won’t be too bad. The prices on the buttons are about .20 cents cheaper than US prices.

It’s tournament time this weekend! The arcade in Xidan is hosting the SBO qualifiers. Starcade, XOM and myself have teamed up so if anyone wants to come along for support and to check out the scene, we’ll be heading there at around 10:00-10:30 in the morning. Nice on the tourney I wish I could go damnn, but sim/chun/vipers a good team. Tape it so I can see the hot streak you guys run - ps. plz steal me a t-shirt plz. So its been fun here, but in FG news the internet is CRAZY, SSF4 matches forever been getting my duds in shape. Team Battle still doesn’t work, but oh well. Also the FFA arcade is doing pretty well, I heard Justin Wong goes there a lot, but I haven’t seen him yet. I was thinking I could just stay here for all my FG needs, but then I had a dream that Lao Shi told me to beat him 10 times in tekken or be a scrub FOREVER so I guess I owe him a what for.

As for vids from the tourney I’ll see what I can do about it. Kim’s video camera is kinda old so I’m having my doubts about transferring recordings to PC. If someone else has one though feel free to bring it.
Edit: Side note, I checked out Taobao for “Continuing Shit” (probably trademarked by Starcade but oh well) and it seems the Hong Kong version, which is usually the cheap one, isn’t coming out until 07/27. The Jap version is still slated for a 07/01 release but it’s over 400 RMB on most reliable sellers. Personally I’ll be waiting for the HK version.
i’m gonna be in beijing around july 8th or so and was wondering if anyone would care to show me and my ladie around. maybe arcade for a couple hours or some good non-tourist spots to eat? we’ll take you out and get you drunk as well. =D
Shuang jing has SS2, Xi zhi men has SS Sen. Also I found Jared somehow, so maybe they’re be a chance at the big (and I mean big) Tekken tourney on the 10th.
