Haha. I would never expect you to do that match in a tourney. If this really happens I will most likely play Sim/Vega. I don’t know what to do with 'Rog pre-ST.
I don’t feel rog exists pre HF, certain matches don’t work for him at all this time around, I can’t fathom how to play as him against any solid firebally throwing bizzle, especially dhalsim, that one is fricking impossible pre super and pre headbutt, and even pre low rush.
Chrisis: Exactly. I don’t really know what Capcom was thinking when they made Rog playable without giving him the most basic of tools. Can he even TAP through fballs in CE?
ALSO: Despite the fact that I plan to play in this tourney hard and try my balls off to win I’m willing to bet $10 on Crisis winning this.

No his turn punch doesn’t go through fireballs, if his rushes came out at CPU speed AKA no charge Then he could destroy, but since he’s a charge character not so much. This crouch roundhouse is beast though, that’s the one good thing about this version other than the damage.
I agree the only thing that the US CE rog has is his low roundhouse, But the Japanese version of SF2 CE, Rogs straight dash punches cant be crouched under like HF.
His low roundhouse is bloody fun though, and can be spammed versus some characters. >.> I guess that reminds me, is this going to be an American CE machine with 5/6 hit blocked psycho crusher? Or Japanese with unduckable dash straights?
The one thing I don’t like about the Japanese version of CE is that cross up psycho crusher trick. $10 entry and the pizza and soda are free what a deal. This gonna be some old school fun minus the fight over tick thrown like they did back in the early 90’s which i’ve witnessed before lol

OK, I had no idea there were different versions of CE (US/JAP). Every day I lean something new about SF. California has definitely opened my eyes to the wide, wide world of Street Fighter.
I get the strange feeling I’m going to get smashed in this tourney. Whatever. This weekend I’m going to fire up CE on Final Burn and prepare.

Ok that vid and some of the ones it linked to are nuts. Guile and Bison look straight up over the top. Dhalsim looked pretty awesome too but not as easy to use. Hmmmm.

i got nothing but love for the berkeley scene, but wtf? even the bearcade - a business, not someone’s random house - never took anything off the top from a tournament. why not make it a $6 entry fee and spend the rest at fat slice or something?
