are you talking abt graruda’s excel?
um…it’s not jump forward…the correct one should be jump hp or hk then forward hk(where he jumps up and does a kick) and cancel into excel…then the rest is right~
i am pretty sure about this because they actually showed me in real person~and told me abt it~
the forward hk and cancel into excel is damn hard~
Double jumping heavy is an easier set up than the F+HK which is almost chance depending on the character you are fighting.
Hardest excel set up is the shadow double HP into dive kick. Hitting an excel after that is hard.
Well I ws just guessing from what it looked like. So a few mistakes should be acceptable

or else they will keep on trying and say that it doesn’t work~
After trying it several times the only way I can begin to get it to work is to cancel off of the Forward+HK. The timing is insane. It was hard enough to land the jFP, F+HK as a stand alone for me.

i guess he meant …having or hitting your opponent in the air will have higher(heavier) damage…cuz most of the excel are done in the ground…
and when you use excel while you are in the air and your opponent is on the ground…the damage is set differently~
for instance,after you have combo 2 excel…the third excel you do…a hp and a lp will have the same damage…but while in the air…it will be a bit higher~

Wow, I never knew Guile could be that abusive. Although I can perform excels well enough, I’m not particularly innovative with them. I’ll have to try that one out.
If you try that against Zangief, can’t he SPD, or FAB, or CFAB you as soon as you recover?
You can in EX2+ also, but the timing is much tighter, but I’m not sure the excel will be too powerful though, since the opponent is quite low to the ground.
Alright, can somone post the EX3 Tiers and give a detailed explanation of why certain characters are ranked where they are? Thanks.

When Kairi gets a level 3 super meter he glows with a blue flame. That flame gives Kairi a sort of unbeatable priority on all of his attacks. With the flame, he normal moves and special moves can beat out Supers. For example, if Kairi has level 3, and Bison throws a psycho cannon, Kairi can do a dragon punch through the psycho cannon and be totally unharmed. He can also use his Akuma dive kick and break straight though it. His normal punches and kicks can stop fireballs.
Personally, I don’t really know what the big deal with Hokuto is. Everyone here is convinced she is a great character, but I don’t see it. I think D.Dark is much better, and Garuda too.
I read that Evil Ryu is better than normal Ryu, but…not to the point of being top tier. That doesn’t make too much sense to me. I’m pretty sure it’s because Evil Ryu can do a momentary hurricane kick after a dragon punch. They both have the Dragon Punch, Super Hurricane Kick combo. However, if they both have 3 bars of energy to start the combo with, Evil Ryu can get 5 super hurricanes while normal ryu can only get 4. It’s because that hurricane kick builds up Evil Ryu’s super meter more. Other than that, I have no clue. I think D.Dark is a way better character.

I needed to pick Hokuto ONCE to see that she was kickass. When I first got this game and was question on it by NA peeps I sadi Hokuto was top tier. Not only is she Hokuto but she is evil Hokuto and the EX2 Hokuto with crazy priority on her normals. In EX+ her C+HK was crazy and could even stop supers. She has most of that in EX3. Not to mantion he ability to plane change with at least 3 attacks! She is one of the few in EX who has ‘invincibility frames’ in her attacks. ALL he specials can be canceled into hard hitting and high damage combos. IMO she is perhaps one of best jugglers in ALL of EX and it only shows in this game. Hokuto has been very good in every game she has been in.

anyways…i am only playing EX2+
so here’s my reason why she is good in EX2+~
as cogulie said…she can combo into different things and have high damage~
also…she has a move where u do a 360 and push your opponent to the other side~and that doesn’t make recovery …and it cannot be block…that’s what makes her nanases and sharon so great~
also…she can build up meter REALLY fast…and what u need in EX2+ is meter…why?
cause you can do excel~and does mad damage~
and because her jumps are really low comparing to other character except Sagat…that’s what makes her hard to predict~
about her command throw…she and nanaese,sharon have recovery in EX3…and that makes her A LOT weaker~
