Just end any ground excel with QCF+P,P, make sure you are out of the excel though when the QCF+P,P connects. I’m not 100% sure, but you might have to use LP for the QCF+P,P, I’ll try it out later to confirm.
EX1 Chun Li and the Cycloid with the Lightning Leg had the same infinite, forgot the strength of the normal and Lightning Leg though. In EX3, Ace and Chun Li have different button strengths in their loops for that combo.
thanks for the help. I’m still not sure about how to do that inf though. I have been doing it so both hits of the QCF P, P are after the excel but I can only get the c.lk to connect if both hits of the QCF P, P are juggles (i.e. you do it after a sweep or another QCF P, P), even then I can’t get the next QCF P, P to connect because it won’t juggle. Presumably if they don’t have to be juggle hits then you could perform this inf without an excel since all you would be doing it hitting a grounded opponent with QCF P, P?
These are really good vids overall too, they have Vegas (claw) kill combo and Kens Meteor mid combo that does over 50% with what must be EXTREME mashing. The Rosso infinite they use sets up with a sweep mid excel, I’m guessing this might be an easier set up but you can do it without the sweep. And the partial Chun Li infinite has HPs in it which probably deals more damage but you slowly make distance. Hope those help you out.
sweetness. that helps alot. I already had vol 2 but not 1. I still can’t get it to work but at least now I know exactly how it’s done. I think the chun partial inf is done with MP. you can do the same thing in EX3 and you get the true inf because she doesn’t get pushed back as much (pointless info, lol).
keep in mind that you have to end the lightning kick at the right point. If you do it too late then you won’t recover in time to combo into the normal attack at the end.
this site has a LOT of stuff… never did download anything from it (haven’d had the time…) but from what i saw from the ex games it had a whole bunch of mp3’s…
Just find something minor. In the first EX game (arcade, no plus’s or anything), rapid fire anything will not get you any meter.
This is a tad bit surprising but if you recall in the first EX, there were no bonus’s, however you did get a lil bit of bar for each move you did. Be it a standing jab that whiffs. However if those standing jabs have no break between them you don’t get any bar except for the very first one.
Also, fixed the EX2+ movelist at my site. So now the basics of each movelist for each game is complete (did not do EX+, as EX+a is the same but with more characters so just did EX+a instead).
I’m now slowly inputing what frame data I have for the first EX game. NKI if you see this, I may need your services to translate some pages for me.
Mook was a line of magazines in japan that game out information on various arcade games at the time. Some of the issues had frame data on EX+, EX2 and EX2+. Which I’m currently lacking so when I attempt to create frame data for those games it’ll take a lot of guess work and will likely be very inaccurate unless I’m able to find a copy of the magazines.
For the differences between EX and EX+a.
EX
-less characters
-less moves for some of the characters
-different commands to perform some moves for some of the characters (ie Garuda)
-no gauge bonus for anything ie “First Hit”, “Tech Throw”, “Reversal”.
-using normal moves (even while missing) will partially fill up your super bar (150 missed jabs will fill up your bar completely while 75 missed strongs and fierces will fill it up completely)
-juggling infinite with Akuma (was taken out of next installation of the EX series)
-supposively an easier AI
hmm at the moment thats all I can think of…
Also consider that EX+a is a console only release that features various extra modes that the arcade obviously does not (training, expert, battle, time attack, barrels, survival, versus). On top of that 2 extra characters that were neither in EX or EX+ for the arcade.
All in all EX+a is a better game.
Though keep in mind that possibly if I were able to translate my “All About Street Fighter EX” book that I could have more things to say about whats different.
Well chances are a lot of the information should stay about the same. And with a bit of knowledge and guess work I should be able to do SFEX+a, EX2 and EX2+. Only one that will truely be a bitch and a half is EX3.
However don’t worry about it. thats why I’m here. So if you think of any other questions be sure to ask.
For soundtracks… I don’t believe so. I know they had an option for you to fight different sets of characters in arcade mode.
And some songs didn’t match up right like “stronger” I then find a song from the EX2 soundtrack named “stronger” too. I listen to it and its the same one from when i played EX +@ from way back. I knew something was up when listened to both the regular and arrange tracks from EX and it didn’t fit. Maybe they added different tracks to +@ or something i dunno. But EX bgm’s are the best!
I was actually wondering the same thing when I said I was looking for the EX1 soundtrack I probrably meant EX+. I dunno its been a long time but its the one where all the characters have they’re own themes,
ie: Zangief’s Theme (Power Plant) Sharon & C. Jacks Theme (Old Town) etc.
but the Original!
I never liked arranged music but if anyone knows where I can get this I’d appreciate it!
Nekki bought it I believe in hopes that it’d have some storyline stuff in it. However I don’t recall what exactly was in there, but if he sees this he could probably summarize it.
Well, it’s now getting on for 5 years of playing EX3, and I still haven’t (knowingly) seen that alternate Nanase meteor. Can anybody capture a short vid?
I have only played EX3 a few times, how exactly do u combo tha 2 special moves one after tha other?!!!
Like ryu can throw a regular fireball then a hurricane kick/flaming fireball.
